2 EUROPEAN DYNAMICS FOR DEAR EFFICIENCY PROJECT Project aim is to improve local networks and DEAR interventions on 4 different territories through the development of European dynamics. It is integrated in all project partners activities and policies and seeks to enrich them through a European scale approach. The project is addressed to both DEAR local actors and local population and try to achieve the following Overall Objectives : 1) to foster the emergence of a global civil society in insisting on the necessity to draw up, in a democratic and sustainable manner, global answers to global issues. 2) to move the debate about necessary conditions for a more balanced and sustainable development forward in connecting DEAR initiatives with medias and political local debate. 3) to improve institutional and individual support for development and cooperation initiatives, especially those which taking into account new development paradigms. DEAR SUMMER CAMP 2015 Organized by Cospe and Marche Region in collaboration with Marche Solidali network 2015 DEAR Summer Camp will take place in Pesaro (Italy) from 20 th to 26 th July. Participants will be involved in training and awareness raising activities focused on the notion of active global citizenship. They will discuss related topics, such as migrations, interculturality, and strategic communication in the non-profit sector. During the camp, participants will also have the chance to develop a raising awareness action to be implemented on the territory and/or on-line.

3 PROGRAMME MONDAY 20 th 10:00-12:30 Welcome meeting-introduction to the summer camp activities-icebreaking activities 14:30-17:30 Presentation of regional DEAR network (Vincenzo Russo - Marche Solidali); Introduction to DEAR topics (Pietro Pinto COSPE); Social aspects of migration (Africa e Mediterraneo) 21:30 Team building activities (Laura Ciarimboli COSPE) TUESDAY 21 st 09:30-12:30 Globalization and active global citizenship 14:30-17:30 Globalization and active global citizenship Introduction to the notions of globalization, development, underdevelopment and international cooperation. In-depth analysis of the notion of active global citizenship, and of the most efficient methodologies related to development education and awareness raising focused on the issue of sustainable development. 21:30 Common activities * WEDNESDAY 22 nd 09:30-12:30 Migrations and Interculturality 14:30-17:30 Migrations and Interculturality Overview of current main migration flows, especially those towards Europe, different typologies and characteristics of migrants arrival, settlement and stabilization processes. In-depth analysis of the main integration models, with a specific attention to the role played by the educational sector (formal, informal, non formal) in fostering and spreading intercultural skills. 21:30 Free time THURSDAY 23 rd 09:30-12:30 Social communication strategies and citizen journalism 14:30-17:30 Social communication strategies and citizen journalism Introduction to communication strategies (main tools and goals) with a specific focus on political communication concerning migrations and related social changes in Europe. In-depth analysis of social communication strategies and citizen journalism as a tool able to disseminate intercultural knowledge and know-how and an active global citizenship. 21:30 Common activities *

4 FRIDAY 24 th 09:30-12:30 Active citizenship workshop 14:30-17:30 Active citizenship workshop Development and implementation of a social communication campaign. The campaign s contents will be identified by participants drawing inspiration from the topics previously discussed. The campaign could consists in public actions such as flash mobs or online communication such as live twitting. 21:30 Common activities * SATURDAY 25 th 09:30-12:30 Active citizenship training 14:30-17:30 Active citizenship training Organization and implementation of a visibility action to be implemented in the city center aimed to involve youngsters living in Marche Region in active citizenship s actions. Organization and realization of a parallel communication activity with live reporting on social media 21:30 Free time SUNDAY 26 th 09:30-12:30 Final evaluation session Realization of individual and group activities to evaluate the summer camp week. The evaluation will cover organizational, educational, relational and professional aspects 14:30 Free time 21:30 Leaving party MONDAY 27 th Departure

5 Trainers Participants will be constantly supported by two expert trainers, with over 5 years of experience in the implementation of educational projects related to global citizenship both at national and international level Methodology Contents and activities will be developed according to the instructional scaffolding learning process: experts are only meant to provide sufficient support to the learner in order to identify key concepts, organize work spaces and tools, managing the agenda and conduct a debriefing phase.active training techniques will be used, taking advantage from multimedia and interactive tools. *If necessary, evenings could be used to organize the visibility actions expected on Saturday 25 th CONTACTS Arianna Blasi arianna.blasi80@gmail.com Activities realized in the framework of the project "European Dynamics for Dear Efficiency - ref.
