Completion of the ATI-TEAS pre-admission examination by admission application deadline 4. Additional supplemental requirements for impacted programs include health care experience, second language competence and local service area residency.

29 What Does the BSN application require? 1. Letters of Recommendation: -One letter describing your character -One letter describing your academic skills 2. Official Transcript from CSU School 3. Official Transcripts from Previous Schools - Including all GE and IGETC courses 4. Optional- Proof of Bilingual Proficiency

30 Before beginning the BSN program the student must complete: 1. A Tuberculosis (TB) test 2. Health Physical (school health center/home doctor) 3. Influenza (FLU) immunization 4. Titers for: Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella, Hepatits B 5. Background check 6. Proof of valid SSN 7. AHA Healthcare Provider CPR Certification * Also required at all other nursing programs (i.e. ADN & UC)

31 Test of Essential Academic Skills o This test can be taken twice and we will use your highest composite score o You must score a minimum of 78.0% for your composite score on this exam. *It is recommended that you wait to take this exam until you have completed at least some of the science pre-nursing core requirements.

32 The MATH subtest covers whole numbers, metric conversions, fractions and decimals, algebraic equations, percentages, and ratio/proportion. The READING subtest covers paragraph comprehension, passage comprehension, and inferences/conclusions. The ENGLISH subtest measures knowledge of punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, contextual words, and spelling. The SCIENCE portion of the exam covers science reasoning, science knowledge, biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, basic physical principles, and general science.

39 Students in the Nursing major must earn grades of "C" or better in all courses prerequisite or corequisite to the major. If a grade less than "C" is earned in any nursing major course, the student will be dropped from the Nursing program. Upon successful reapplication to the Nursing major, Nursing courses for which the student has earned less than a grade of "C" may be attempted or repeated only one time.
