Their mission is to provide the leadership necessary to end discrimination against people with disabilities. Trained volunteers will help callers with problems such as family, marital, adolescent, sex, drug or alcohol crisis. They can help callers find treatment or other urgent services. They are there to listen and help. Grundy Community Hospice 1802 N. Division St., Grundy Community Hospice runs grief support groups for adults and children. The children s support group is offered twice a year in Spring and Fall. It s intended for children who are grieving the death of loved one. Call Grundy Community Hospice office for dates, times etc. The adult grief support group meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at the First Presbyterian Church in Morris (200 E. Jackson) from 7 8:30 p.m. Coping with Loss classes are offered twice a year for Hospice volunteers and the public. Grundy Co. Health Dept., Mental Health Division 1320 Union St The department provides out patient mental health and substance abuse counseling, psychiatric treatment and medication for those with mental illness; and home visits to those age 60 and older by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.). Alzheimer s Disease and GROW support groups are also available. Grundy Community Hospice 1802 N. Division St, Suite 307 (Hours M-F, 8:00am - 3:00pm) Grundy Community Hospice provides volunteer visitation and support for terminally ill patients, coordinated medical and nursing care with pain and symptom control. Hospice care is available in the home setting. Hospice also provides bereavement counseling, Rainbows adult bereavement support group, cancer support group, 6-week children s grief support group held twice a year in spring and fall at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Morris. Call the hospice office for support and caring listening.
