2 School Board Communications With the District Administrator 1) Plan and conduct monthly school board meetings 2) Meet with District Administrator on a regular basis to stay informed of district issues 3) Conduct yearly performance review of District Administrator Administrative Team (Principal, Dir Sp Ed, Bldg/Gr, Food Service, Tech Coord.) Staff With the Parents 1) Respond to parent phone calls/ s 2) Direct feedback and requests for problem solving to proper person within the school district With the Community 1) Monthly school board meetings are open for all community members to attend. 2) The annual meeting of the school district is held in August of every year. Information is presented regarding the school district s budget. Community members age 18 and older who have resided in the district for a minimum of 10 days are eligible to vote on the proposed budget. 3) The school board (in groups of 2 members) will make themselves available in an informal setting for the purpose of gathering feedback. This type of event should be held four times per year.
3 District Administrator Communications With the Administrative Team (Principal, Dir Sp Ed, Bldg/Gr, Food Service, Tech Coord.) 1) Hold monthly team meetings. 2) Hold monthly meeting with individual administrators. 3) Conduct yearly individual performance reviews. With the Staff 1) Monthly staff meetings With the Students With Parents 1) Be available at a variety of school functions where parents are present. With the Community 1) Present appropriate information at the monthly school board meeting 2) Present budget information to the public in a clear and concise manner at the school district s annual meeting in August. 3) Write a column on a quarterly basis for local newspaper. 4) District Administrator will make his/herself available at a neutral location in an informal setting for the purpose of gathering community feedback. This should take place 4 times a year. Alumni
