Income protection insurance : 50% x pensionable pay for up to 5 years followed by a lump sum of 3 x pensionable pay. DEATH IN SERVICE BENEFITS TAX RELIEF 2 x pensionable pay. Spouse s and children s pension part funded by member s account and part payable by Severn Trent. All tax relief reclaimed at source (no action needed by member) 6 x pensionable pay. Member s account to provide any Spouse s and children s pension. All tax relief reclaimed at source if member participates in SMART. Otherwise, member responsible for reclaiming higher rate tax relief 10
