We greatly enjoyed assisting you with our General Contractor s License activations throughout the state of Florida. Working with your teams and permitting Rolyn s work to help clean up our statewide disasters was rewarding. The reason for my letter today is, recently, I had a personal need for Rolyn s water remediation services. Our rental unit condominium was flooded by an upstairs tenant. We needed a company with the proper licenses and skills to deal with our Condominium Association and multiple insurance carriers. Rolyn immediately came to mind. Jason Bolin, your Florida General Manager and his staff are a fantastic group. They managed our entire situation and the multiple parties involved, allowing us to continue to run our business without much interruption. Jason s immediate response to our late Friday emergency was greatly appreciated. He quickly dispatched your Project Supervisor, Mark Altmyer. This was just what we needed. Mark s ability to put equipment in place quickly on the weekend made it possible to halt greater damage. His on-the-spot evaluation helped us get our insurance adjuster working immediately on our claim. Everyone from your team was professional and took great care of our tenant and property. With all the parties involved, it was a circus. Your team helped us manage them all, our tenants, the Condo Home Owner Association and their contractor, the upstairs unit owner s agent, the upstairs tenant and the insurance adjusters here and in Arizona. Throughout the process Jason and his staff continuously supplied support with follow up documentation and advisement on how to handle our claims with insurance carriers, the Home Owners Association and the other unit owner. 3 Dear Nick, We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your entire team for their efforts in getting our condominium back in great condition after the major disaster caused by the flood from the upstairs unit. Back on March 1st, when Rachel called to say that there was some water leaking into her kitchen I that it would turn out to be a relatively small problem. Then, she said, no, this is not a small water leak from the kitchen sink, but that water was flowing out of the ceiling through several light fixtures in the condominium! Not a good sign. We consider ourselves fortunate that your team joined and ultimately led the response actions that followed. Working under stressful conditions is not enjoyable, but in this case was compounded by the enormous disruption caused by the sprinkler system discharge from two floors above us, and rapidly became even more difficult as the problem spread throughout many hidden areas. Your team responded quickly and gave us hope that the damage would be handled in a professional manner, and that we would be happy with the final result. I hesitate to start mentioning names because someone will be overlooked, however Eric Huzzy and Chuck Sayles, were the ones who we came to rely upon initially for help, which they did professionally and communicated regularly. As the nature and extent of the damage became known, and your team took over we began to recognize the enormity of the tasks that would be necessary to make all of the replacements and repairs. Sitting about 800 miles from the action can be frustrating. However, your personal assurances that you were working to make it right kept us calm and hopeful. We don t know of the hundreds of decisions and coordinating activities that you, Ron Chilcoat, and others made on our behalf. We are thrilled with the quality of the workmanship and materials. While at times five months seemed like an eternity, looking back from this vantage point, we recognize the complications involved in managing the process among the parties and your commitment to doing the right job. Please know that we have the utmost respect for all of the folks that worked to make this happen, and that my failure to name them is only a reflection of my poor memory. 5 To Whom It May Concern: Rolyn Companies has been handling insurance restorations as well as other specialty jobs for our company for over ten years. We have yet to encounter a job that they could not perform. We have used other fire restoration companies in the past, but none have been as easy or honest to work with. The emergency crews are prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and well equipped. Their supervisors are always the first to show up to size the situation and make sure the crews have everything they could possibly need when they arrive. I have toured one of their warehouses in Rockville, Maryland and they have any conceivable piece of equipment to meet your emergency needs. Rolyn Companies are also sticklers for moisture control after a fire. The dehumidification program they have mitigates additional mold damage that the Insurance Carriers are ever more reluctant to cover. When it comes time to do the reconstruction, their expertise and professionalism continues to show. Between their staff and professional contacts, there is little that they cannot do. We have been able to complete both small and large jobs with them without delays or unforeseen cost overruns unless they were the result of a County Inspector requiring additional work. Rolyn Companies are also willing to work with the customer during the reconstruction for change orders they may request. The finished product Rolyn offers leaves very little to be found on final walk through. We have also had many special out of the ordinary projects come up over the years and Rolyn has stepped up to help. We recently placed several of our communities up for sale and we needed some immediate spruce up work done. Rolyn was able to put a large number of people on the project and complete it in short order, the hardest job was scrubbing down 40 years of grime from the boiler rooms and painting them. This was not an ordinary job, but they came through and the boiler rooms looked great.
