3 THE DATA CENTRE The COLO-D data centre is situated in the heart of Quebec, halfway between Quebec City and Montreal, in Drummondville. This strategic site is the technically and geographically optimal location for hosting your IT infrastructure. The site has a single purpose: server colocation. MORE THAN 100,000 SQUARE FEET OF FLOOR SPACE IS ALREADY BUILT.

4 CHARACTERISTICS /01 /02 /03 AREAS SECURITY ELECTRIC POWER The centre has approximately 70,000 sq. ft. of ground-level floor space. In total, however, an area of more than 100,000 sq. ft. on two floors is available to clients. The centre s very robust construction means deployment of loads over a bearing capacity in excess of 250 lb./sq. ft. The site offers workspace, service and circulation areas, electromechanical spaces and many colocation spaces. The site is highly secure. The security station is the control centre for the system of cameras and access cards. Round-the-clock surveillance and a facial-recognition system enhance the site s security. The COLO-D centre currently has an installed capacity of 6 MW, which can be increased up to 12 MW with the infrastructure in place. The design for COLO-D s basic electrical configuration exceeds the Uptime Institute Tier III robustness standards.

5 CHARACTERISTICS /04 /05 /06 COOLING SYSTEM CONNECTIVITY ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY The COLO-D centre offers a variety of cooling options to meet the needs of various types of IT equipment. Water cooling, high-density cooling and cooling with top-down and bottom-up airflow are all available, whatever the load density. The design for COLO-D s basic cooling configuration is more robust than Uptime Institute Tier III standards. The COLO-D centre is neutral as regards to telecommunication providers. COLO-D s three sets of underground concrete blocks allow providers to bring in a wide range of fibre types and densities. COLO-D s Meet Me Rooms are the starting point for interconnections with the client spaces. The COLO-D centre was designed by paying particular attention to details to limit its effect on the environment. The use of LED lighting, for instance, reduces energy consumption as well as human intervention in the server rooms. Another example of the company s eco-responsibility is the use of an integrated BMS (Building Management System), which optimizes the operation of the centre s equipment and maximizes energy efficiency. The company is further committed to achieving an industryleading PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) rating.

6 MANAGE YOUR INVENTORY EASILY ONE MAIN CONSOLE WILL BE AT THE CENTRE OF MANAGING EVENTS, CHANGES AND MAINTENANCE. The system will integrate BMS, DCIM and operation management functions. COLO-D clients can use it directly or integrate their own systems into it. The site has been designed to comply with the most important standards, good practices and industry standards, such as the Uptime Institute, ITIL, TIA-942 and PCI.
