2 Articulation Agreement Between Bryant & Stratton College and Jamestown Community College PURPOSE Jamestown Community College (JCC), Jamestown, New York, and Bryant & Stratton College (B&SC), Getzville, New York, in order to maximize the opportunities for students completing a program of study at JCC, and to secure eligibility for admission to B&SC in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree, do hereby enter into the following articulation agreement. This agreement includes a listing of courses that will transfer from JCC to B&SC to complete the Bachelor of Business Administration degree. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The parties of this agreement, JCC and B&SC, hereby agree to the terms and conditions set forth herein. Students who graduate from Jamestown Community College with the Associate in Applied Science Business Accounting, Associate in Applied Science Business Business Administration, or Associate in Science Business Business Administration, and who also earn a minimum cumulative JCC grade point average of 2.5, are guaranteed admission into the B&SC Bachelor of Business Administration degree program. Credits will transfer to B&SC at the same level as those earned at JCC. A grade of C or better is required for any course to transfer to B&SC. Transfer credits may not exceed 75% of the total 120 credits required for conferral of the BBA (not to exceed 90 credits). While courses taken at the lower division do not transfer as upper-division courses, selected courses may, under the specific terms of this agreement, satisfy upper-level degree requirements. The guide sheets included in this agreement are examples of how students who graduate from JCC with the Associate in Applied Science Business Accounting, Associate in Applied Science Business -Business Administration, or Associate in Science Business Administration can earn the BBA from B&SC. Students will normally spend their first four semesters at JCC, their next two semesters either at JCC or at B&SC, and their final two semesters at B&SC. A minimum completion of 30 credit hours is required for admission into the BBA program. A total of at least 120 credit hours are needed to confer the BBA degree at B&SC. Courses taken at JCC for which B&SC does not have equivalent courses may be used to satisfy elective credit, if permitted by the B&SC degree program. The BBA Program Director will make the final decision regarding whether transfer credit is applicable to the degree program. Representatives from both institutions will confer at least on an annual basis to evaluate the success of this agreement. Should content change occur in a transferable course, the school making the change agrees to notify the other school in writing so that this agreement can be re-evaluated. Notice of changes shall be provided at least 45 days prior to the beginning of the semester in which change is implemented. Any program changes will be identified and incorporated into subsequent agreements. Each institution may carry out publication and marketing of this agreement. This can include, but is not limited to, printed material, websites, and inclusion in admissions material. 2

3 Transfer Plan for Jamestown Community College And Bryant & Stratton College Bryant & Stratton College and Jamestown Community College have agreed to articulate the courses contained in the following page(s) to enable students to transfer by the most efficient means. The articulation agreement is available in the Admission office and with the Program Director of the Bachelor of Business Administration office. The program regulations listed in the agreement are summarized here: A student will be required to comply with curriculum changes made after the catalog year in which the student is first eligible, but no student will have an overall appreciable increase in total credit hours required for graduation. Students must apply to B&SC and meet the college and program admissions requirements. Prior to beginning the BBA program the student will finalize an official degree plan with the BBA Program Director or their designee. B&SC must approve any substantial changes in JCC course descriptions or course hours or have the option of selecting a replacement course. You, the student, are responsible for all requirements of the catalog under which you are to be graduated. B&SC ARTICULATION SCHOLARSHIP The Western New York Market awards up to twenty (20) annual Academic Excellence Scholarships to promising community college transfer students as they transition into the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program at Bryant & Stratton College. Monies are awarded, by committee, through the Western New York Bachelor of Business Administration Department. Students must enter the BBA Program with a 3.0 GPA or higher in order to be considered. Also, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher for each subsequent semester at Bryant & Stratton College in order to receive the maximum award. Each award cannot exceed $ per term and the maximum award per student is $2, Please check with a Bryant & Stratton College admissions representative ( ) or the BBA Program Director for further details. 3
