The rules surrounding no win no fee changed in 2013, and as a result most law firms now take up to 25% from their client s compensation award to cover their fees, leaving their clients with only 75% of the total amount. You keep 100% of your compensation award. When you choose your solicitor, make sure that they will not deduct any of your compensation award. 8 Do you have a claim? You might not be sure whether you have a claim. You might think the accident was your fault, or partly your fault, or was just too long ago to count?
