1 Published on May 27th 2015 NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR LECTURE PRESENTATION Extended until June 21st 2015 The Institute of Physical Education of the University of Antioquia (Medellín, Colombia) invites the academic community in the area of physical education, sport, recreation and physical activity to the lecture presentation for the main events that integrate the international contest Expomotricidad The lectures should be related to the subjects of the event to which the paper is presented. With a decade of tradition and positioning, Expomotricidad gathers in Medellin every two years, an average of 1600 attendees from Colombia and Latin America, as well as experts in the field from around the world. You are invited to be part of this event and to present your reflections, significant experiences, and findings in the Physical Education field. MAIN SIMULTANEOUS EVENTS (November 18th, 19th and 20th Plaza Mayor) 10th International Seminar on Sports Training. Training tendencies and its application in different sports. This seminar is a space for lectures, presentations and research derived from the many and advanced ways that the pursuit of sport performance requires; since these works contribute from the innovation and the academy to the improvement of human sports performance. The reflection about these themes, and the continuous debate about the ideal and the possible will be the key to grow together in new theories and movements in the exciting world of sports training. Undulatory strength training Concurrent training New training tendencies 8th Iberoamerican Conferences on Management and Sport Administration and 1st International Congress on Administration, Management in Organizations of the Sports, Physical Activity, Recreation and Physical Education. The 8th Ibero-american Conferences remain as a space to socialize successful experiences in the management and sport training scenary, which intend to provide the attendees with different tools and strategies to improve organizations' performance and sustainability. For its part, the 1st International Congress intends to strengthen the scientific development of 1
2 the area, by being a place to put on scene the research s advances and products developed in the sports organizations, physical activity, recreation, and physical education that will allow the attendees to identify tendencies and future investigations in the area. Prescription, planning and exercise control for health in the vital process: from the scientific evidence to the practice. The actual epidemiology of chronic non communicable diseases, demands the implementation of interventions focused on improving healthy habits from childhood to aging. In that sense, the evidence plays an important role in the design of specific programs for the different life cycles. Consequently, the purpose of the event is to actualize the academic community of the physical education, and sports on the prescription, and benefits of exercise for health according individuals' life cycle. Actual evidence of the benefits of physical activity on health, and important elements to optimize the prescription, planning, and exercise control will be reviewed. Gestation Childhood and adolescence Adult and elderly physical exercise. Physical exercise in people with health issues (asthma, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, depression, Parkinson s disease, Alzheimer, etc.) 6th International Symposium on Physical Education: Itineraries that give meaning to teaching in the classroom. Itineraries that give meaning to the teaching in the classroom: this will be a shared space to name practices and speeches that professors lead in their daily professional life, which are fed by reflections and inquiries from the somatic culture that have made visible the paths of body experiences at school, from an integrative route that seeks to recognize the subjectivity of the different academic roles in a hologram of possibilities that exalts the desire of making the educational a deeply ethic and aesthetic act. 3 5th International Colloquium on Body Education: modes of experience from the bodies. Interested in the connection among education, body and experiences, what is it and what happens in between; here the forms of experience are the passage to discover the entrance, the intermediate, and thus the meaning of education and training of the subject. It is suggested to understand experience as the fact that happens, moves, and transforms us in the didactic action, in being together, in the differences, in construction as subjects, in creation of life manners and in the production of knowledge. But, it is not only about explaining what has been experienced or about telling what affects us from the bodies, it is also about staging the body as a "place" of experience (voice, image, motion, sounds, scents, flavors)the incorporated to be able to remove body senses in the education. 4 PARTICIPATION MODALITIES AND FORMATS OF PAPERS PAPERS Type 1. Research reports: Refers to the results presentation of research processes in the main subjects. Type 2. Themes: Corresponds to the presentation of a thematic revision or the presentation of significant experiences in the field of Physical Education, Sports, Recreation, and Physical Activity. Submission formats To participate with a presentation (type 1 or type 2) submit an abstract of the work that has not been published in whole or in part. The abstract must be presented in a digital file prepared in word processor with a.doc extension. The page configuration should be on letter size with margins of 2.5 cm on each side, Arial font, with a size of 12 points, and the spacing between lines must be simple. Content Títtle: it must be short and clear (maximum 15 words) aligned in the center and in bold, and in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Modality: (specify the presentation type), event name, and the subject line to which the paper is presented. Author (s) information: each author must completely fill out the following information: Full name (in case of a normalized or standardized way of ordering of surnames and name, indicate as shall appear) Position and place of work. Affiliation to research groups. Professional degree and institution that issued it. Highest Degree and institution that issued it. Institutional address. Summary: For presentations Type 1 (research reports) will be a structured abstract of maximum 500 words that synthesize the main problem, the objective, methods, the findings, and conclusions. Do not cite references and avoid abbreviations in the summary. It must be presented in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. 4
5 For presentations type 2 (themes) will be an abstract of maximum 500 words that synthesize the revision of a subject or significant experience in the field. Do not cite references and avoid abbreviations in the abstract. It must be presented in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Key words: There must be a minimum of three and a maximum of six key words and must be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. References: must be numbered, alphabetically organized and conform to the A.P.A. 6.0 parameters. A wider A.P.A. 6.0 guide can be found at: Transfer of rights: see appendix 1 Note: Translations (tittles, summaries, and key words) must be professional and elaborations of automatic translation systems or software (for example google translate, bing translate, Babylon, etc) will not be accepted. WORKSHOPS The workshops stage practical experiences related to the main subjects of the events. Submission format The workshop must be presented in a digital file prepared in word processor with the DOC format, with a maxim extension of 4 pages. The page configuration must be on size letter with margins of 2.5 on each side, Arial font, size12, and the spacing between lines should be simple. Content Títtle: Experience name or implemented project, aligned in the center and bold. Modality, event name and main subject to which the paper is presented. Author(s) information: each author must fill the following information completely. Full name (in case of a normalized or standardized way of ordering of surnames and name, indicate as shall appear). ITINERARY FOR PAPERS RECEPTION Call opening: February 16th 2015 Call closure: extended until June 21st 2015 The results publication of accepted presentations: August 21st The publication of these results will be sent to the of all participants and posted on the web. CONSIDERATIONS 1. Submission conditions: the lecture or workshop and its appendixes must be submitted no later than May 31st to the address expomotricidad@gmail.com. For purposes of proper storage of papers received, state the "Subject" of the message as follows: abbreviation of the event to which the paper is presented/ first name and last name of the speaker. Example: If the author is Carlos Alberto Gómez and wishes to present his paper for the 5th International Colloquium of the Body Education, then the message subject should be: Bodily Education/ Carlos Gómez. 6
7 The events should be abbreviated as follows: Training, Physical Education; Physical activity; Corporal Education; Administration and Management; Biomechanics and College Education University Training. Be rigorous with the use of / and with the abbreviated name suggested for each event. Appendixes: the lecture or workshop text must be submitted with the form of transfer of rights of the lecture or workshop filled (appendix 1) 2. Selected lectures: Only papers or workshops that comply to the formats and requirements of this call will be accepted, as long as not plagiarism or discriminatory tendency can be proven. In addition, the academic committee of each event reserves the right to reject the paper or workshop that does not meet the selection criteria. 3. Papers and workshop selection criteria Adaptation to the subject line proposed. Originality Relevance Formal Quality and contents Interest generated 4. Transfer of rights: the author(s) shall transfer the rights of the presentation or workshop to the Institute of Physical Education, Universidad of Antioquia for publishing purposes in the different outlets of academic diffusion and nonprofit institution, in the institutional media. View transfer format in the appendix 1 5. Publication: according to the selection criteria above mentioned and the format in which the presentation text was presented, the academic committee and/or evaluator, will select which publication will include each paper that has been admitted through this call. 6. Commitments Contest with the rapporteur: Papers acceptance does not exempt the author(s) of payment for registration, except those who come by direct invitation from the contest organization. Each speaker should assume their tickets, transportation and meals, except those who come by direct invitation from the contest organization. Note: the speakers who are interested in publishing articles in the Journal of Physical Education and Sports of the Institute of Physical Education, must follow the parameters and times established by the journals.
