1 Product Manager: BackOffice Product Suite Create a new future for our users by championing the move of the BackOffice Product Suite as an application-based software to cloud-based software. Work with talented and dynamic crossfunctional teams! Job Title Product Manager: BackOffice Product Suite Reason for Vacancy Division/Department Audit Software New role Reporting to: (name & position of Manager and any indirect reporting lines) Managing Director: Audit Software Main Purpose of the Position The successful incumbent will take full responsibility for the vision, road map and success of the BackOffice Product Suite. Key Deliverables and Weighting Maintain and communicate vision and direction o Maintain a clear product vision and keep it visible to the team o Set goals and objectives for releases and sprints o Prioritize the Product Backlog o Make scope decisions/trade-offs o Set delivery dates Keep customers and key stakeholders highly engaged o Communicate with Key Stakeholders o Represent the customer, interface and engage the customer o Maintain a thorough understanding of the customer needs
2 Define deliverables for the team o Specify Acceptance Criteria o Elaborate Themes, Epics, and Features into Stories at the granularity necessary to fit into a single sprint o Describe, prioritize, and communicate the requirements o Express what value-added is from a customer perspective and focus the development efforts toward providing that value Ensure project success o Communicate status externally o Ensure profitability (ROI) o Track and forecast the team s progress o Manage the budget Collaborate closely with the team o Participate in Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, and Retrospective meetings o Accept or rejects work results based on Acceptance Criteria o Provide day-to-day JIT tactical decisions to system level questions and defect triage o Closely collaborate with the team on an ongoing basis to guide and direct the team Facilitate deliverable related meetings o Facilitate adaptive planning o Facilitate Release Planning o Facilitate Backlog Grooming o Facilitate Story Storming o Facilitate Estimation Workshops o Facilitate definition of Minimum Marketable Releases and Features Management Level and Details of the Management Component of this role The Product Manager will not manage direct reports, but will collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams. Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities In-depth, working knowledge of South African accounting and tax principles and legislation A good understanding of how practice management software should create significant efficiency in an accounting / auditing practice Must be IT/Technically inclined Understanding and exposure to the BackOffice Product Suite software (SecWare, TaxWare and CaseWare Time) would be beneficial Behavioural / Soft Competencies, Skills and Abilities Confident, enthusiastic, and highly resourceful Visionary and Doer o Ability to maintain and enthusiastically communicate the vision For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact: Candice Clark candicec@cqs.co.za
