These qualifications represent the skills, experience and education typically possessed by the individuals that are grouped in this job title, but every attribute may not be possessed by every individual. Under no circumstance should years of experience be used as sole criteria. This job description covers Engineers at various experience and skill levels. Where there are specific qualifications, the requirements of each level are defined in a table. Otherwise, the requirements apply to all levels. General Purpose of Position: Under general direction, conceptualizes, designs, constructs, tests, implements, and documents basic industrial control and/or information systems that meet requirements and team standards. Most of the engineer s time is spent developing technical skills. The remaining time is spent developing an advanced understanding of project management principles and tools, continuing to build a foundation for commercial skills, and an introduction to mentoring skills. Education and/or Training: B.S. in Engineering/Computer Science or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a B.S. in Engineering/Computer Science Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant Minimum 3 years relevant Minimum 4 years relevant Core Skills and Abilities: 1.
