8 Frequently Asked Questions Darton State College Bookstore - Online Ordering Guide What are my shipping options? Shipping options are ground/smart post shipping, second day shipping, and overnight shipping. We will not be able to ship express shipments to PO Box addresses. Why didn t I receive my order right away when I choose express shipping? Orders can take up to two business days to process. Shipping methods are the way you will receive the book once the items are processed and leaves the store. Choosing express shipping doesn t speed your order processing. How do I use my financial aid (student account) to pay for my bookstore purchase? When you checkout you will have a payment option listed as Financial Aid. Select that option to pay. Make sure to use your student ID number as your account number or your order will be canceled. Note: Your order will be canceled if any of the following: 1) your account doesn t have enough funds to cover the order 2) ID number is incorrect (doesn t match name or missing numbers/ transposed incorrect) 3) you use your social security number (we don t have access to verify social security numbers), 4) you use your efollett/rental patron ID number as your account number. I don t know my student ID number, how do I place an order? You will need to obtain your student number in order to complete an order using your student account. We use it to verify identification and charge to your account. You can find your student number on your schedule, in MyDC, or by contacting the College. We do not have the authority to give out student ID numbers. How do I know if I have enough funds to complete my order? Your funds will be available to see through your MyDC account. We do not have access to your account balance and do not have the authority to give out such information. For any account inquires or concerns you will need to contact your financial aid advisor. I am trying to pay with my financial aid (student account) but the option is not showing. What do I do? Student accounts are not always available as a payment type. It is generally available for use starting the Monday before classes start through the first three weeks of class. For B-term/Summer classes it is available from the Monday before classes start through the first week of class. We post the dates on the website. During the time Financial Aid is available to be used for online orders the option will appear at check out. Otherwise, the option is not available for use at that moment. You will need to select another payment option. Page 8 of 9 Version 1.2, October 1, 2015
9 What can I purchase using my financial aid (student account)? You can purchase any required course materials which includes text books, access codes, and required supplies. You can purchase school supplies such as notebooks, binders, pencils, calculators, backpacks, and paper. You additionally buy one computer device and Office 365. You are not allowed to purchase clothing, snacks, computer accessories, gift items or non school related supplies. Any item that goes through that is not allowed to be purchased on a student account will be canceled. I am using my Financial Aid (Student Account) to pay for my purchase, why do I need to enter a credit card? If you are renting, you can pay for your rental and purchase using your account but a credit card is needed as collateral for the rental items. It is kept on file and only charged if you don t return your rental items by the due date. Where can I find answers to other questions I may have?
