3 TUITION AND FEES HARRISBURG UNIVERSITY ONLINE GRADUATE PROGRAMS Tuition and fees listed in this guide apply to the following degree programs: Master of Science in Project Management Master of Science in Analytics Payment Plan Options To make paying for your education convenient as well as affordable, Harrisburg University offers the following payment options: Tuition costs, which have been frozen in , are the same for full-or part-time students as well as for domestic or international students. Harrisburg University of Science and Technology charges $800 per credit hour for graduate tuition. Fees cover administrative costs of your education and are not refundable. Tuition (per credit hour): $ Fees Tuition Deposit: $ Monthly Individual Payments Domestic students can take advantage of a monthly, interest-free payment plan that lets you spread your tuition payments out over the semester. We accept ACH/electronic checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. This option is not available to international students. Employer Deferred Payment Plan If your employer offers tuition reimbursement benefits, we can defer payment of your tuition until the end of the semester. 4 Applying for Financial Aid: An Overview If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you may be eligible for federal financial aid. You can apply after you enroll in a degree program at HU. The amount of financial aid you can receive depends on your personal financial resources and whether you are full- or part-time. You ll need to: Obtain a Federal PIN. Visit and fill out the information to receive your Personal Information Number. You will use this number during all financial aid interactions with the government. Complete the FAFSA. Visit and sign in with your pin to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA). Harrisburg University s Federal School Code is You ll provide information about your finances, which will allow the government and HU to determine the amount of aid for which you are eligible. Fill out your Master Promissory Note. If you are planning to use the Federal Direct Student Loans for your education, you ll need to sign in with your PIN at and complete the Master Promissory Note. This constitutes a legal agreement between you and the government. Complete Loan Entrance Counseling: Sign in to to complete Entrance Counseling, which explains in detail how your loan is disbursed and when you need to begin repayment. This is required to be completed in order to receive your loan. After your FAFSA has been processed, Harrisburg University financial aid staff will be in touch to inform you of the amount of aid you can claim, and how to accept your aid package.

5 Financial Aid Overview: Grants and Loans The US government offers graduate students two loan options: Unsubsidized Federal Direct Student Loan This loan begins to accrue interest immediately, and you will need to make interest payments even while you are studying. The interest rate for this loan as of September 2014 is 5.41% for graduate students. Graduate PLUS Loan In addition to completion of the FAFSA, Graduate PLUS loans require a credit history check similar to a private loan. Payments are deferred until the end of your program as long as you maintain a half-time course load. Once you graduate or drop below half-time, there is a six-month grace period before you need to begin repayment. This loan has a fixed interest rate of 6.41% as of September Borrowing Limits Graduate students who are at least half time may borrow up to $10,250 per semester through the Federal Direct Student Loan. If you wish to borrow additional funds through the Graduate PLUS Loan, check with the Office of Financial Aid to determine the amount. The federal government places lifetime borrowing limits on individuals for the Federal Direct Student Loans. Graduate students can currently borrow a maximum of $138,000 through the Federal Direct Student Loan program.
