30 CHECK-IN Used to Check-In CAD objects to the IFS database. All CAD objects must be associated with IFS Documents. Some CAD objects must also be associated with IFS Engineering Parts. Two methods to create these associations: Associate Auto-Map 30 ADAPTER FUNCTIONALITY

37 CHECK-OUT Used to retrieve parts and/or drawings from the IFS database for editing or viewing in the CAD application. 38 CHECK-OUT FOR VIEW OR EDIT For View Part, assembly, and/or drawing files will be retrieved from the IFS repository and loaded to the specified folder Local files will be read-only For Edit Part, assembly, and/or drawing files will be retrieved from the IFS repository and loaded to the specified folder. 45 UNDO CHECK-OUT Allows a user to undo a prior check-out action. When performed: Any new IFS Document Revisions created during the check-out will be set to obsolete in the database Any locked IFS Documents will be unlocked, allowing changes by others 45 ADAPTER FUNCTIONALITY

49 STATUS BROWSER Opens a table containing information about the status in IFS of all models currently loaded in the CAD system. After a particular operation is performed on any model, the user can always check for the status of the model. Good for control of the workflow and for status verification of every model on which the user is working. Option to display only current model or all loaded models. 49 ADAPTER FUNCTIONALITY

52 GET NEW NUMBER & SAVE Provides an option to save the model in session to a desired directory and associate either a new IFS Document number or a new IFS Part number, along with default, unique attribute values to the CAD model. The user can enter values for the document or part number or, as an option, the user can allow IFS to assign the document or part number. A unique value will be retrieved from either the IFS Document Management module or the IFS PDM module according to the parameters for autogenerating Number attribute values. The Engineering Part Revision will be registered in IFS. 52 ADAPTER FUNCTIONALITY
