2 Basic Education- Pathway to Success (PASS) Chemistry Bachelor s Degree with a minor in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or Special Needs Education (not Music, Art, or Physical Education) Bachelor s Degree with 20 semester credits in Elementary Education (not Music, Art, or Physical Education), Secondary Education, or Special Needs Education Bachelor s Degree with 20 semester credits in one of the following: Communication, Math, Science, or Reading, and 3 credits of any combination of Reading Instruction and Teaching Methods Master s Degree preferred and have an minor or twenty semester credits drawn from the recognized science disciplines of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics, with a minimum of twelve credits in Chemistry Master s Degree required in English/ Communications, Reading, Math or Education. If Master s is in Education, then one of the following is required: 18 graduate level semester credits required in one of the areas of English/ Communications, Reading, or Math; or Bachelor s Degree in the subject area of English/ Communications, Reading or Math Master s Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or Chemical Engineering required Master's Degree with 18 graduate credits in Chemistry/ Environmental Science may be subject to change.
3 Communication Skills Economics and If teaching literature courses, have a minor or twenty semester credits in English or Literature. If teaching communicative skills courses, must have a minor or twenty semester credits in any combination of English, Reading Instruction, Journalism, Speech (not drama or theater) or Communication and have a minor or twenty semester credits drawn from the recognized social science disciplines of Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History, Anthropology, Geography, or Philosophy, with a minimum of twelve credits in Economics Master s Degree from an accredited college in English/Communication Skills Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate level credits in the areas of English, Written Communications, Journalism (no drama or theater) Master s Degree in Economics or Political Science a Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Economics. may be subject to change.

5 Mathematics with a minor or twenty semester credits drawn from the Mathematics department, including eight credits of calculus, have a major in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science and eight credits of calculus Master s Degree from an accredited college in Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics with a minimum of 8 graduate level credits in Calculus a Master's Degree and 18 graduate level credits in mathematics with a minimum of 8 credits of calculus are required Microbiology and have an undergrad minor or twenty semester credits drawn from the recognized science disciplines of Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Virology, Mycology, Parasitology, Bacteriology, or Immunology, with a minimum of 12 credits in Microbiology Master s Degree from an accredited institution in one of the Natural Sciences areas of Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Virology, Mycology, Parasitology, Bacteriology, or Immunology, with a minimum of 18 graduate level semester credits in Microbiology 1 year of current direct occupational experience required 1 year of current direct occupational experience required may be subject to change.
