4 What is the Running Ball Feed? 5 By using the timestamp feature his web service can provide live information either for all matches or you can select a single match to monitor. A separate webservice is used for each odds type. For example you can request information by:- sport by selecting which URLs you are requesting league or event i.e. English Premiership or Champions League etc bookmaker i.e. only singbet or only sbobet by time i.e. by requesting the only updated odds web service Of course if you want all international football league matches for each odds type and all bookmakers currently being quoted then you can have that too. 9 US Sports feed Feed description Base URL The base XML documents can be found at the following URLs The TXODDS Running Ball feed server Backup server In order to access the feed you will need a valid TXODDS username and password Authentication As the Running Ball Feed is configured on a per account based system, all files requested must be tagged with your specific user name and password to gain access. Additionally access is restricted by the IP address of the computer which will read the feed data. This IP address must be registered with TXODDS before you can access the feed(s) You will be assigned a unique username and password once you setup a TXODDS user account and subscribe to the XML Feed service. Please contact us via the Contact details section for more information. UserID= Your TXODDS Username PassID= Your TXODDS password USAGE &UserID=username&PassID=passwd Requesting specific information As the Running Ball feed is designed to deliver the fastest odds updates as we discussed in the Time sensitivity section we have split the requests for static data and live data between multiple web services. 10 REQUEST US FIXTURES REQUEST ODDS CHECK RUNNING TIME REQUEST UPDATES VIA TIMESTAMP no HAS THE MATCH HAS STARTED? yes Current and upcoming matches information A complete list of all match fixtures can be returned from the following web service. USAGE As the fixture information is relatively static in nature (i.e. it rarely changes) you only need to request this information every day. If you have automated trading systems that rely on the start time of a match you may wish to request this information every hour and check the start time hasn t changed to ensure you are not betting in-running when you don t want to. Please note that NOT ALL matches will be available as running ball. The match id used will have been returned from a previous request for all match information as above. mid= USAGE The specific match ID d&mid=2468 As in the above example if you have automated trading systems that rely on the start time of a match you may wish to just re-request fixture information for a single match (or group of matches) that will start today to make sure nothing has changed. On many systems data can be locally cached to improve performance but this is obviously something you do not want for real-time data collection. TXODDS provide the timestamp request feature to ensure no data is cached and you have the very latest data from our servers at all times. Please note: If you do not use the timestamp then each request has to be served from our database directly, increasing the latency ( time ) to respond. The sequence for requesting data should be as follows:- 1. Make your initial request for the type of odds you require to prime your odds database ( or memory array,table etc.) e.g. for Totals odds ( Note: the authentication strings are removed here for clarify) 2. 21 Match running time and scores The information web service provides information on the matches currently running/in-play. For each match it indicates how many minutes have gone in each half, or extra time plus goals scored alerts. This service can be requested as frequently as you like for example every second. As only updates to odds are displayed the returned XML document is usually very small and therefore can be quickly processed and the odds changes integrated into your database immediately.
