8 Reminders/Considerations for Simulation Center Development/Renovation AV plan! Plan early, be sure to include the people that will be responsible for maintaining equipment after installation o Wireless access in center? o Training laptops for students or participants o Telephone access o Stationary cameras or controllable? Zoom capabilities? o Recording of simulation only or include simulator data? Permanent storage or recordable onto video tape, DVD or CD o Capability of live broadcast into classroom or other area outside of center or lab? Architecture & design plans (things to consider) o Debriefing area separate or in simulation lab? o Reception area will probably be seen regularly during tours, fund raisers etc. First impression of the center should be positive. o Donor wall or recognition area o Student classroom/gathering area participants will need a place to keep personal belongings during simulation activities locker room?
