2 Graduate Research School The Master of Research/Doctorate of Philosophy is designed for applicants with a strong interest in research and scholarly activity who wish to pursue a continuous program of study leading to a Master of Research and a Doctoral qualification.

3 Combined Master of Research / Doctorate of Philosophy The Master of Research is designed to increase students preparedness for PhD studies and ultimately for research- oriented careers by delivering an in-depth research training experience, and fostering an advanced understanding of research methodologies, cross-disciplinary exposure and specific disciplinary knowledge including a year of independent research conducted under expert supervision. Congruent with the Bologna model this degree enables students to complete a Doctor of Philosophy in three years.
