4 MISSION TEI is an engineering company operating in the environmental sector providing consultancy and specialist high-tech engineering services for nearly half a century; TEI is part of the history of Italian engineering. The company s DNA has developed over time, allowing its ability to respond to questions raised by environmental issues with effective solutions to be best expressed; TEI offers a complete range of skills, making it possible to respond to the needs of private and public clients with the targeting of innovative solutions. 5 SINCE 1971 Founded in Milan in 1971 by the Engineer Piergiorgio Vigliani, TEI Tecnologia di Eliminazione Inquinamento soon became an engineering partner of reference both for the Milan area and for Italy. The insight was to understand, already in the early 1970s, the need to manage the issue of pollution with a structured engineering expertise, an issue in that decade already becoming central in terms of legislation, corporate sensitivity and public opinion. TEI SpA Tecnologia di Eliminazione Inquinamento was started in 1971; 1980s: TEI is among the leading environmental engineering companies in Italy; 1990s: the first international projects for combined management of municipal solid waste are carried out (Santo Domingo, Lebanon); in 2000 TEI reinforces its presence in Italy and begins a positioning programme in the Balkans (Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania); in 2009 the Albanian branch office opens: TEI Albania, with offices in Tirana; 2013, the TEI share capital has new Partners who start a project of company revitalisation and restructuring. TEI becomes TEI Technologies for Environment and Industry. The current Managing Director is the Engineer Marco Valcamonica, who now manages TEI after important roles at CEO level in multinational companies operating in the provision of industrial plants design and civil /environmental engineering services. 8 THE ALBANIAN BRANCH OFFICE In 2009 TEI decides to make the most of skills acquired in almost 20 years of international operation, particularly in the Balkans, opening its own branch in TIRANA. The Design and Works Supervision operations carried out in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia for the Italian Government agency Italian Development Cooperation, for the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, enable TEI to be the ideal partner for public and private operators intending to undertake projects in these countries. Albania has now started the formal process of accession to the EU and is undergoing a phase of development and growth, with the aim of modernising the country within the European context. TEI focuses its activity along two main directions: provision of engineering services in the environmental area and planning and management of the complete waste and water cycle; consulting services for the design and construction of small- to medium-sized plants for energy production from hydroelectric sources (mini-hydro). Our international presence is based on the successful completion of tangible projects

35 TEI CERTIFICATIONS TEI has been ISO 9001 certified since In 2006 TEI obtained UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Certification, which permits services to be developed while maintaining compliance with environmental constraints. Both certifications were obtained for: "Provision of Consultancy, Engineering, Project Management, Works Supervision and Safety Coordination services in the environmental, civil and plant design areas for public and private clients. Provision of Technical Inspection and engineering project Testing."
