10 nursing degree programs EARN YOUR BSN degree & BE A NURSE IN AS FEW AS 3 YEARS* Why wait? Earn your degree and launch a rewarding career in nursing at the same time. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree Program The Chamberlain 3-year BSN degree program provides you the opportunity to earn your degree and enter the workforce sooner. Curriculum includes high-tech nursing labs and diverse clinical experiences taught by experienced faculty. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program ** Earn an associate degree in as few as two years and be prepared to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination. Begin nursing courses as early as the end for your first year. Chamberlain s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program is direct entry. This means that your acceptance for admission includes acceptance into both the liberal arts and sciences and nursing degree curriculums. There is no need to complete non-nursing coursework and then reapply to the nursing degree curriculum. Getting In For a nurse, everyday is a new challenge; a new opportunity to push boundaries, advocate for patients and improve outcomes. As a result, nursing takes a special person with the right combination of knowledge, skill, compassion and confidence. Chamberlain's admission requirements have been developed with this in mind. Chamberlain admission requirements include: High school cumulative GPA of 2.75 or GED score of 551 ACT composite score of 21, SAT (CR-M) of 990 or A2 Admission Assessment * score of 75 Applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency Complete your application for admission and schedule a required interview with a Chamberlain admission advisor. Fall, spring & summer enrollment Chamberlain admission representatives are here to answer your questions and provide advisement every step of the way. 15 Experiential learning: 800 hours of practice As a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree student, you will take part in approximately 800 hours of experiential learning (simulated learning, skills labs and clinicals)* before being faced with independent, direct patient care or a patient crisis. This extensive training allows you to build confidence so that your reactions become almost innate. Nursing skills labs & the SIMCARE CENTER : Life-saving skills taught in a safe environment The SIMCARE CENTER replicates hospital and clinical settings and features high-tech training equipment, including high-fidelity human simulators, patient-monitoring equipment, a birthing simulator and physical assessment exam tables. Utilizing the computer control center, Chamberlain faculty have the ability to alter the simulated patient s conditions and produce varying symptoms to evaluate your responses in real time. Clinicals: Your first entry into a real healthcare environment Clinicals educate you in real-world healthcare settings under the supervision of a professional nurse. Clinical experiences take place in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, independent practices, ambulatory care centers, VA medical centers and home health environments anywhere healthcare is delivered! Finding clinical assignments Unlike many programs, you will not be solely responsible for finding clinical assignments. Projects can be done in place of the Community Health Nursing International and Multiculturalism in Healthcare Special Populations course requirements; this allows you to receive course credit and continue on your path to earning a degree while taking part in an experience of a lifetime Partnering with other healthcare professionals As an extension of the International Nursing Service Project, Chamberlain joined forces with Ross University School of Medicine to serve the people of Kenya. The Interprofessional Global Service Project holds special significance, not just for the care and services provided to a population in need of healthcare, but for the partnership it demonstrates between two healthcare professions.
