History of Palustris Palustris has been around since 2004 but we only took over development and management of the Palustris Recruitment Software in Our predecessors (crocodile systems) decided they had taken the software as far as they could and decided that, with our extensive experience using the latest languages and technologies, were the ideal candidate for taking over its ongoing development. 5 MS Office Integration ing Palustris allows you to clients, candidates or any other contacts directly from the software. It automatically calls Outlook and passes it the relevant addresses so all you have to do is write the message and hit send. When sending to multiple contacts at once Palustris automatically tells outlook to blind copy the recipients keeping their details private. Mail Merge Palustris also supports mail merge allowing you to use your existing templates or create new templates for automated tasks or ing blocks of contacts. Logging Palustris automatically logs any s it sends allowing you to keep a record of a contacts history. Palustris can also log incoming s by periodically scanning your inbox and matching s against the contacts in its database. Exporting your data Palustris allows you to quickly and easily export and import a range of data from outlook including contact information, client details, journal logs and diary events. Page 5

6 Searching Adding candidates Adding a new candidate could not be quicker, simply dragging and dropping a CV into the software window and the add candidate wizard will take over. Palustris will read the CV and identify the skills you are most interested in. With our CV parsing module it will also look for all the relevant contact information and automatically add it to the system. Text Searching Text search is a quick search that will go through all of your CVs, including those you have not yet registered, looking for the words and phrases you are searching for. From the results you can open previews of the CV to see if that candidate is suitable for what you are looking for. Ad-Hoc Search for Candidates & Clients Ad-Hoc search is a more powerful search feature that allows you to search a range of criteria including skills and location. The radial module allows Palustris to perform UK postcode based searching within a defined distance. Ad-Hoc search applies to both candidate and clients giving you flexibility to search for exactly what you need. Vacancy & Candidate Searching Vacancy and Candidate search is the most powerful search feature in Palustris. It bases it search on the vacancy or candidate details you entered and gives you the ability to specify how important each criteria is. It Provides list of results including a suitability score so you can immediately see the best matches Page 6

7 Tasks, Events & Journals Tasks The Palustris task management allows the creation of manual and automated tasks. Each task can be associated with any given candidate or client making it extremely easy to manage your workload and ensure nothing is ever missed. Events Like your Outlook calendar, the Palustris event management systems allows you to manage and track any and all events relating to your business. Because of the MS Office integration you can even export events booked in Palustris into you Outlook Calendar. Journals Palustris is designed to track everything digital to do with your clients and candidates. The Journal system allows you to add Journal entries to cover those non digital interactions and notes. Like and Journals have a subject and body text, you can even link relevant documents. Page 7

8 Support Support for Palustris The Palustris Recruitment Software is very reliable but on those occasions you do need technical support our UK based technical staff are only a phone call away. All support for Palustris is included in the price and we aim to respond to every issue as quickly as possible. We don t use call centres, if you call us you will get directly through to our office where someone will be able to help you. In most cases we are actually able to solve problem there and then over the phone. We use a professional support software that allows us to remote access your PC, see exactly what is going on and control your mouse and keyboard to fix the problem. Extended Support Every IT system is different and when it goes wrong it can cause massive amounts of disruption. Our IT experts are able to offer extended IT support for the whole of your IT, on an ad-hoc basis or as part of a monthly IT Support and maintenance package. Backups Palustris has an integrated backup facility that creates daily backups of your data which you can then store on a removable hard disk or online repository. We also offer a range of additional backup solutions to ensure your data is as safe and secure as possible. Page 8

Integration with your existing website We are also able to offer a range of modules that will allow Palustris to integrate with your existing website. These have been created from scratch using the latest web standards, enabling a very fast, sleek and professional looking website. 10 Marketing enews The Palustris mail merge functionality can be a great way to send marketing material to small groups of clients but if you have a large contact list you would like to send to you may want something a bit more heavy duty. also provide a web based marketing solution designed specifically for sending large volumes of marketing s. Powerful & Effective Our marketing systems uses branded templates with your company logo and colours so every you send will always look professional. Through Outlook you can export your contact data from Palustris and save it to a CSV file. You can then upload your CSV file to enews so you are then ready to send s. Pushing the limits Blind copying address can work to a point but you can quickly find that s start to get market as spam if you try to send to too many people at once.
