2 KAMLA NEHRU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SULTNAPUR (U.P) TENDER DOCUMENT No: CWN/PUR/2013 Date: Opening Date: Opening Time: PM Opening Place: Committee Room of the Institute Sealed and separate tenders in duplicate in two parts i.e. tender bid-i and tender bid-ii are herewith invited for the upgradation of CWN project by replacing UTM FG-400A by FG 600C along with earnest money amounting to Rs. 34, in the shape of Demand Draft of NB/SBI/BOB/BOLLD/CBI/UBI in favour of Director KNIT Sultanpur Avadh (UP)/ cash receipt of the Institute. Both envelopes should be kept in one big envelope. The tenders should reach to undersigned latest by at 2.00 PM. Terms & Conditions: 1. Details of equipments/ materials are as per bill of quantity attached. 2. Tenders should submitted either in person or by post in sealed envelops on which name and tender number and dated along with name and address of the firm will be written. 3. TENDER BID-I (Technical) shall contain (i) Earnest Money (ii) Trade tax registration document (iii) Income Tax clearance certificate for last year (iv) Standing of the firm (v) Major supplies executed in recent past (vi) Authorised dealer certificate from OEM & Commercial terms and conditions. TENDER BID-II (Financial) shall contain rate schedule only. 4. All tenders received after due date and time will not be considered. 5. Price quoted should be F.O.R. KNIT Sultanpur (UP). 6. The detailed specifications and make of the equipments /material must be given. 7. The quoted items should strictly be in order of our merit with serial number and metric unit otherwise the tenders are liable to ignored. 8. Conditions regarding validity of tenders, delivery period, payment discount, warrantee and Guarantee Period, Trade Tax, Excise & Custom Duty and insurance etc. should be mentioned clearly. Net prices should be quoted. 9. The quoted rates should be valid at least six months from the date of opening. 10. Tenders without sample wherever required may not be accepted. 11. In case of imported equipment, commission allowed to agents must be specifically mentioned. 12. Free demonstration shall be done in the Institute premises if required. 13. Insurance shall be done by the suppliers by their own cost. 14. Tenders without mentioned earnest money deposit will not be entertained. 15. Trade Tax registration number must be clearly mentioned at the tender, failing which tenders will not be considered. 16. Standing of the firm and major supplies in recent past with proof must be attached. 17. In case of dealers, authorized distributors, dealer s certificate from OEM is required. 18. Document through bank and advance payment on proforma invoice may not be accepted. 19. The quantity mentioned in bill of quantity against each items will be treated as provisional and it may be changed depending on actual requirement.

3 2 20. Payment will be made only after successful installation and operation in the concern department after verification from the departments. 21. If the supply is not made with in prescribe period earnest money deposit will be forfeited. 22. Tenders will be opened in the presence of those who choose be present on the opening date and time. 23. Any dispute will be subjected to Sultanpur (UP) Jurisdiction only. 24. Conditional tenders will not be accepted. 25. 4 KAMLA NEHRU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, SULTANPUR (UP) Tender Document Fee: Rs EMD-Rs Bill of Quantity for the upgradation of CWN project by replacing UTM FG-400A by FG 600C: KNIT Sultanpur has established the Campus Wide Networking (CWN) project under WBTEQIP scheme of World Bank. The CWN project was implemented by using active components of Extreme make & passive components of D-Link make and the project was running smoothly since it s inception.due to increase in the number of users & increase in the Internet usage by existing users KNIT increases it s Internet bandwidth to 120 MBPS(100MBPS from NKN & 20 MBPS from Railtel) recently. To manage this increased bandwidth smoothly & efficiently so that Internet services will be provided to Faculty, Students& Staff without any disruption KNIT wants to upgrade it s CWN project by replacing the existing UTM FG-400A by FG-600C whose detailed specification is given below. Sr. Specification o the item No. 1 FortiGate-600C Bundle appliance with(16) 10/100/1000 and (4) shared 10/100/1000 or SFP ports, (2) 1 Gbps with Bypass Protection, all ports accelerated, includes 2 SX SFPs and 64GB SSD hard disk with perpetual features like firewall, 1000 max recommended SSL & IPSEC VPN, Server load balancing, High availability, WAN acceleration, Traffic Shaping, Dynamic routing protocol support, Multi Link/WAN failover/load balancing support, 3G Support and subscription based IPS, Antivirus, URL Filtering, Spam Filtering, DLP, Hardware warranty, Firmware updates. 2 Fortigate 600 C with bundle subscription for TWO years. 3 Additional Redundant Power Supply for FG 600C Firms are requested to quote the prices of above with or without buy back option for FG-400A Terms & Condition. 1. The firm is bound to provide services & support for supplied items atleast for five years from the date of installation.
