7 Campus El Gouna International students (above all Egyptians) are registered as normal students of the TU Berlin and will have the choice of three practical 4-semester programs of further education leading to a Master s Degree in 3. Campus El Gouna Master s programs Page 7

8 Boundary conditions for the Master s programs (1) An agreement between the Egyptian Ministry for University Education and Research, the Senate of Berlin (SenBWF) and the TU Berlin has made the enterprise in Egypt possible according to the Berlin law of higher education (BerlHG) and the aims of the German-Egyptian Cultural Agreement of Accordingly the TU will run the Campus El Gouna academically like a site in Berlin. The Master s programs are subject to charge, but scholarships are offered Laboratories, technical workshops and experimental hall are designed by German experts in cooperation with the TÜV. 3. 9 Boundary conditions for the Master s programs (2) Legal form of the Campus El Gouna is the Zentralinstitut El Gouna der TU Berlin (Decision of the TU Board of Trustees from ). A central institute promotes, according to BerlHG 83, the implementation of long-term projects in research, teaching and further education The same paragraphs define the regulation of the faculties The central institute transfers the externally funded Campus El Gouna to the TU budget and structures the plan according to the relevant section 3. 13 General goals of all three Master s programs are Multidisciplinary Sustainability and protection of resources Integral and interdisciplinary approach Intercultural competencies Management competencies Teamwork There will be interdisciplinary semester projects with real project work (ex post und ex ante) 3. 16 Status of the construction site Preliminary building works are in an advanced state, the technical equipment and building services engineering are pending.
