The rent must be reasonable. You are still ultimately responsible for the property during the lease. The property must have a normal standard i.e. be habitable. It must also be properly clean when your tenant moves in, as well as moving out. If you are subletting your apartment for more than two years to the same tenant you should fill in the form Relinquishing the right of possession. When subletting a house or a condominium apartment where you are the owner, there is no longer any right of possession unless you are renting out several properties simultaneously. As such you don t have to fill in the form for relinquishing the right of possession for single leases of an owned property.
