1 INDUSTRIAL PARTICIPATION SYMPOSIUM ABOUT CADSI The Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI) is the voice of Canada s defence and security industries. CADSI is a not for profit national business association that represents the Canadian defence and security industries which consists of over 1000 member companies selling to the defence and public security markets. The industries employ over 109,000 Canadians and generate $12.6 billion in annual revenues, roughly 50% of which comes from international sales. CADSI member companies are of all sizes and offer a wide spectrum of goods and services to its customers, and to business partners in Canada, the United States, and internationally. The Association exists to strengthen the relationship and dialogue between government and our industries and to maximize the contribution the members can make to national defence and security. CADSI represents the interests of industry to governments, politicians, the media, special interest groups, opinion leaders, and the public. The Industrial Participation Symposium will be held on 26 March 2015 at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa, Canada. The Symposium will focus on Canada s new Defence Procurement Strategy and its new industrial participation requirements, notably the revised Industrial and Technological Benefits, which includes in certain procurements a requirement for a rated Value Proposition.
