Go to your nonprofit page (as an Admin). 2. Click on the arrow next to your Page s existing CTA or where it says Create Call to Action. 3. Select Edit call to action. 4. Select Donate from the dropdown.* * Note: Do not select the Donate Now option. This is a different Donate button that will direct users to a third-party website instead of the on-facebook streamlined donation flow. 1 of 10

2 02 Adding the donate button to your Page posts Text Post Creating the Post 01 Clicking into composer will automatically generate a link to Add a Donate button to your post.* * Note: You will only see the option to add a Donate button when posting as the Page, and not as an individual. 02 Clicking on the link will open 2 fields to fill out: Title and Description. * Note: These are the titles and descriptions of the Donate attachment, NOT the post text. 03 Click to publish your post. You should see the text post rendered in the page feed with an embedded donate button 2 of 10

7 03 Accessing Individual Donation Reports Find Reports in Publishing Tools 1. Go to your nonprofit Page (as an Admin). 2. On the top of the page, click Publishing Tools.* 3. Then click Donations Settings. * If you do not see publishing tools, it means you are not an admin and will need to be added by a current admin. Note: Reports can only be downloaded from the past 90 days; we recommend pulling reports monthly or bi-monthly to save your data. Access Donation Reports 1. Click on the button to Download Donation Reports. 2. This will enable you to download both transaction and payout reports. Download Individual Donation Report 1. Click on the tab for Transaction Report. 2. Set the date range you d like to view. * Transaction report data updates every 24 hours. The current day s data appears on the following day. 7 of 10

8 Download Report Folder 1. Click download to initiate the download process of your transaction report folder. 2. Open this folder to get access to individual.csv transaction reports broken out by day. * Transaction reports will always be broken out into separate files for each day. Remember that there is a 24 hour delay in populating each day s transaction data. Return to Download Donation Reports in the Donations tab of Publishing Tools. 2. This will enable you to download both transaction and payout reports. * Payout reporting appears for the 15th (1st-15th) and 31st (16th-31st) of every month. 8 of 10

9 05 Customizing Donation Amount Options Customizing Donation Amount Options Choose the donation options people see To customize the donation amounts on your page and in your posts, click on Settings from within your Publishing Tools. From there you can edit the quantities of the donation amount for posts and Page header separately. Your settings will apply to all of your posts. 06 Donate Nonprofit FAQs The Basics How do I give people who help manage my Page permission to use donation tools or process reports? The people who help manage your Page or download reports will need to be Page Admins. Who can donate to my nonprofit? Anyone with a Facebook account in the following countries can donate to your nonprofit using the Donate button:in the following countries are enabled to donate via the donate button: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Republic of Cyprus, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States. Can I limit incoming donations to specific countries? No. Not at this time. 9 of 10

10 Payout and Reporting Do funds raised need to be allocated to a specific program? All donations received through your Page s Donate Button must (should?) be earmarked for and used only to support the topic or cause that your Donate Button addresses. To learn more, see section 2.b. of the Donate Button Terms. All funds contributed via the Page Header are considered general funding, which must still be used solely for your organization. However, if an organization adds a Donate button to a post about a specific issue, they should allocate funds towards that purpose, or be clear that the dollars go to a general fund. Does Facebook send a receipt to donors? Yes. After someone makes a donation to your nonprofit, a receipt is sent to the primary address listed on their Facebook account. This receipt confirms that they ve made a donation as a charitable contribution and that they re not receiving any goods or services in return. Can I customize the receipt that s sent to donors? No. Not at this time. Donate Button Terms of Use What are the Terms of Use for the Donate Button? See here: Why do we need our CEO s date of birth for the Donate application process? The CEO Date of Birth is part of our regulatory-required vetting process to open a payout account for each charity. Is there a fee? At this time in our beta tests there is no fee. Organizations receive 100% of every donation. To learn more, see section 3.a of the Donate Button Terms. Can Facebook use our marks or brand in external marketing materials? Keep in mind in order to use the Donate button, you specifically grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, and translate any content (e.g. images, video, trademarks, stories, or other content) in connection with the button. This could include our FAQ pages or press releases. To learn more, see section 2.c of the Donate Button Terms. This is a standard section of Facebook s SPPs which you also agreed to when creating a Facebook Page. 10 of 10
