We hope this Race Guide helps provide you with all the information you need to experience a smooth, well- organized and fantastic 5K. While many individuals sign up to race, the majority of our participants get a group of friends or family together to form uniquely named teams. In fact, the team naming and team awards have become super creative and competitive. Come join the uplifting atmosphere as thousands of women come together and celebrate a healthy lifestyle and their unique jiggles.

2 Pre-Race Information Registration Online registration is open until January 6, 2016 at noon for both individuals and teams. Due to reporting requirements to prepare for the race we cannot accept any team registrations after online registration closes January 6, Anyone wishing to register after online registration closes may do so at packet pick-up or on race day as an individual. Packet Pick-up PACKET PICK-UP January 7th & 8th, 10 am 6 pm Come in to pick-up your packet. Registration includes an event t-shirt. Make sure you sign-up early to beat the December 26, 2015 t-shirt deadline. The Runner Shop 3535 W Pioneer Pkwy Arlington, TX Don t forget SafeHaven representatives will be present to collect donation items if you want to drop them off before race day. Visit safehaventc.org for a list of helpful items to donate. If you are unable to make it, don t worry. You can pick-up your packet on race day. Make sure you plan to arrive early, as you may need to wait in line to pick up your packet. 2

3 Race Day Information Event Start Time and Expo Make sure you plan to arrive early. Join the fun. Hang out with friends and check out the Expo, sponsors, vendors, spirit wear shop, VIP pamper area, get a take home Photo Flip Book of you and your friends or enjoy a back massage. 7:00 am University Center Opens 8:30 am Pre-race Warm Up 9:00 am Race Starts Timing and Awards/Results You and or your entire team may want to be timed. If you are trying to record a personal best time, monitor your fitness progress or WIN an award then you can request a timing tag as a part of your registration. Awards are available to the 3 fastest individuals in each of the standard 5 year age group categories ranging from under 12 to over 70 years of age. Overall and Master winner trophies are also given. Team awards are given for: Fastest Team: first 4 runners times are added Most Spirited Team Best Dressed: crazy costume, themed costume, etc. Largest Team: most members on a team Results are posted as they are tabulated at the event and will be available through a link on the website. They are also submitted to the local newspapers. Awards will be presented at the post event expo at the end of the race. We try to allow all participants to finish the course prior to getting started with the presentation. 3

4 Race Day Information Gear Drop Off Site We will have a location in the Expo area where you can drop off any gear such as a jacket, backpack, etc. prior to the race and pick it up when you are finished. Photos Event photographers will be around the event taking photos. These will be posted on Facebook soon after the event for you to access. See your photos on our Facebook Page Charity and Giving Back Help us fill up the truck! Bring your donated items to the race! We love the opportunity we have to partner with SafeHaven to increase awareness in our community to the realities of domestic violence and to support the amazing work they do to offer hope and help to victims. As a non-profit organization, Got2DreamBigg.org is committed to giving back net proceeds to our partner charities. 5 Race Day Information Merchandise Bring your credit card to purchase Jiggle Butt Run merchandise at the event. Merchandise may vary from those pictured below. Safety Runners keep to the left and walkers, strollers and pets to the right side of the race lane. If running with small children, please watch them and direct them through the race course as we will be on city streets. Please follow directions by race officials, volunteers, and law enforcement. Medical services are available at the event for first aid or other health needs during the event. to the wonderful women that join us each year to run or walk this great event. Without your participation, we would not be able to support our charity partner. We appreciate the hundreds of volunteers of both men, women and organizations that are critical to the success of this event for their time and commitment. 5

The Jiggle Butt Run starts and finishes on the University of Texas at Arlington campus. The start line is in front of College Park Center on Spaniolo Drive. The Expo, registration, packet pick-up and all the indoor fun will be in the University Center Building. There are multiple entrances to this building so it should be easy or just follow the crowd. is free. The best places to park are the two garages just north of College Park Center. Arrive via South Cooper Street, head east on UTA Blvd., then south on the one-way street, South Center. You may also park in ground level lots off of UTA Blvd. that are just north of the University Center Building. Special VIP and Valet parking is available on race morning. Just look for the VIP/Valet parking signage once you get on campus. 6

8 FAQs Do I need to be a runner to participate in the 5K? No, the Jiggle Butt Run is for all ages and abilities. The event is for competitive and recreational runners and walkers. Is there an age limit? No age limits! All are welcome. Registration is required for those 6 years and older. Can I push a stroller? Yes you may push your child (boy or girl) in a stroller. Please stay to the right side of the race lane to allow faster runners to pass. There will also be a reserved area in the start line for strollers. Can I bring my dog? Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome but stay to the right and keep your dog close so no one will get tripped by the leash or dog. There is a designated area at the start line for participants with dogs. 8

9 FAQs (continued) Why do we line up by pace at the start line? Organizing the start line groups by pace helps to keep the participants safe. Faster paced participants at the front and joggers then walkers later keeps tripping and collisions to a minimum. What is the VIP upgrade? The purpose of the VIP upgrade is to raise additional funds for SafeHaven. As a thank you for being a VIP, we want you to enjoy special perks and pampering like: A Unique SafeHaven Ambassador long sleeve technical shirt Special Recognition on stage and at designated Reserved areas along the start line VIP Pampering corner at the Event Expo including massage chairs and healthy snacks VIP Gear Check-in Complementary Valet with drop off at the Expo What if I decide to upgrade to a VIP after I already registered? No problem. As long as we have SafeHaven technical shirts available you can pay the difference and get the upgrade. This can only be done at packet pickup or on the race day. What happens if the weather is bad? A little rain or cold temperature won t stop us. Only in extreme situations would the event be canceled or rescheduled. Are there refunds? The logistics of setting up and planning an event make this impossible. If for some reason you can t attend the race, at least pick up your packet so you can get your special discounts and t-shirt. 9

10 FAQs (continued) Can I pick up my packet or t-shirt after the race? No, once the event is over packets are not available. Can I transfer my registration to another person? Yes, just our registration member at info@jigglebuttrun.com and give us the details. Can boys or men run or walk? This event is reserved for female participants. We welcome all spectators.
