4 ORACLE CPQ CLOUD Oracle Configure, Price, and Quote Cloud (Oracle CPQ Cloud) enables companies to streamline the entire opportunity-to-quote-to-order process, including product selection, configuration, pricing, quoting, ordering, and approval workflows. Oracle CPQ Cloud provides a flexible, scalable, enterpriseready CPQ solution ideal for companies of all sizes that sell products and services across direct, indirect, and ecommerce sales channels. EASY ADMINISTRATION Administrators are the main force behind keeping a CPQ Cloud site up-to-date. A simple and intuitive administration experience makes it easy for customers to keep the application up-to-date with a variety of changing requirements. New features to make administration easier include: Dynamic Pick Lists in Configuration Dynamic BMQL Variables Document Designer Enhancements Designer Enhancements DYNAMIC PICK LISTS IN CONFIGURATION A new attribute type, Single Select Pick List, will be available in Configuration. The Single Select Pick List attribute type will allow administrators to implement drop-down menus that display dynamic options for text, integer, and float data types. Implementing a Single Select Pick List does not involve any coding, because the attribute will source menu options from a filtered Data Table. In previous versions of CPQ Cloud, administrators could only manage menu options by manually adding and deleting them from the configurable attribute. Now, when using a Single Select Pick List, new menu options are available as soon as they are added to the Data Table. DYNAMIC BMQL VARIABLES CPQ Cloud s query language, BMQL, will allow variables for column names, table names, and WHERE clauses. This feature provides administrators greater flexibility in their table queries. In scenarios that reference a different table or table column depending on user input, administrators may now write one BMQL statement that contains variables, rather than multiple BMQL statements for each expected permutation. 4

5 DOCUMENT DESIGNER ENHANCEMENTS The Document Designer, a drag-and-drop document template-creation and administration tool, was introduced in 2015 R1. As part of continuing improvements to Document Designer, several new features will be added in this release. In 2015 R1, the Document Designer allowed administrators to define table column widths in pixels. In this release, administrators can also define table column widths in inches, millimeters, centimeters, or as a percentage of the page width. Search for static text or dynamic attributes within a Document Designer template, using a new Search field. Many administrators use browser search functionality to locate page elements. However, this may skip over elements that are hidden in the Document Designer. New Document Designer search functionality will search elements in layouts that are collapsed in the editor. Search works the same way in both Document Designer and Designer. A new REST API makes the retrieval of a Document Designer output document available to external systems. The API call must contain simple parameters, including the identifier of an existing transaction. Use Heading styles that leverage existing heading definitions in Microsoft Word. If a user generates a DOCX document that used these Heading definitions, the resulting file will contain native Microsoft Word headings and a table of contents that will respond to the user's updates. DESIGNER ENHANCEMENTS As part of continuing improvements to the Designer (formerly known as the Template Editor) several new features will be added in this release. In previous versions, the Designer allowed administrators to define table column widths in pixels. In this release, administrators can also define table column widths in inches, millimeters, and centimeters. Search for static text or dynamic attributes within an Designer template, using a new Search field. Many administrators use browser search functionality to locate page elements. However, this may skip over elements that are hidden in the Designer. New Designer search functionality will search elements in section that are collapsed in the editor. Search works the same way in both Designer and Document Designer. A new REST API makes the retrieval of the HTML of an Designer output available to external systems. The API call must contain simple parameters, including the identifier of an existing transaction. Use Designer templates to configure the Quote Approved, Quote Rejected, and Quote Revised notifications. 5

6 ENTERPRISE EXCELLENCE Oracle is continually upgrading the functionality of CPQ Cloud to meet the needs of customers who must conform to a variety of regulatory and compliance paradigms. New features to reinforce enterprise excellence include: Secure Attributes Partner Organization-Specific Part Numbers SECURE ATTRIBUTES Secure Attributes will allow sensitive data to be encrypted and passed through CPQ Cloud. The data is not stored until it reaches an external, customer-managed database. With a Secure Attribute field on the Commerce layout, CPQ Cloud can capture a value while masking the entry and use the Java RSS encryption standard to encrypt the data, without ever storing the value in CPQ Cloud. The encrypted data is managed by the customer s secure database, which will handle data storage and any further encryption and decryption. CPQ Cloud users will observe a masked entry, indicating that data has been entered into the Secure Attribute field, similar to when entering a password. PARTNER ORGANIZATION-SPECIFIC PART NUMBERS When CPQ Cloud customers use Partner Organizations other companies that sell products on their behalf there may be instances when those Partner Organizations use the same part number for different sales items. For example, PART123 is a wrench for Partner A, but a hammer for Partner B. A new Part Display Number field will facilitate having different parts display the same part number to sales users, while still having unique part numbers for use in CPQ Cloud parts administration. Additionally, parts can now be associated with one or more Partner Organizations, so that the parts can only be accessed by users in specific Partner Organizations. Using the previous example, a user from Partner A will only see the wrench and a user from Partner B will only see the hammer. As with current part filter functionality, if a user doesn't have access to a part, the part will not be visible to that user in part selection or configuration. 6

7 INTEGRATION Leverage the power of CPQ Cloud by integrating with other software applications. Integrations can be created with out-of-the-box point-to-point solutions, or customized for individual IT landscapes. New integration features include: Salesforce Integration: One-to-Many Oracle Commerce On Premise Integration Enhancements SALESFORCE INTEGRATION: ONE-TO-MANY Companies with one instance of Salesforce will be able to integrate with multiple instances of CPQ Cloud to configure products and create quotes in conjunction with their Salesforce instance. This integration was previously achieved via implementation creativity. The new productized integration makes this integration easier to set up and maintain. Each group that uses its own CPQ Cloud instance can maintain its separate requirements for the Configuration, Commerce, and Document and Designer templates, while leveraging a companywide Salesforce deployment. ORACLE COMMERCE ON PREMISE INTEGRATION ENHANCEMENTS In this release, a CPQ Cloud Configurator can be opened in Oracle Commerce On Premise (Commerce) in an embedded iframe. When implemented with consistent branding across the two applications, the user receives a seamless experience between Commerce and CPQ Cloud. Users will be able to configure products and services and add them to the Commerce shopping cart for checkout or to request a quote. Initially introduced in 2014 R2, the CPQ Cloud-Commerce integration enabled users to add simple products to the Commerce shopping cart for checkout or to request a quote
