4 Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) Best Rate Guarantee Terms & Conditions This program is available at participating locations in Germany offering the Elavon DCC service. Please note that not all merchants that use Elavon s services, whether directly or through a participating financial institution, offer the DCC Best Rate Guarantee programme. Payment card transactions will be converted to the currency of the issuing bank at the point of sale by Elavon s DCC service using a rate of exchange that is equivalent to or better than that offered by the cardholder's issuing bank, including any international fees applied by cardholder's card issuer. In the unlikely event that a cardholder can show they were disadvantaged by choosing to have their transaction converted at the point of sale using an Elavon DCC rate of exchange, Elavon will, subject to these terms and conditions, refund to the cardholder the difference between the price calculated using the Elavon DCC rate of exchange used to convert their transaction and that calculated using the rate of exchange offered by their issuing bank on the same day, for the same card, in the same country as the transaction using the Elavon DCC Service. Elavon is not responsible for, nor shall it be bound by, any statements or representations regarding the Elavon DCC Best Rate Guarantee programme by any third party. Some credit or debit card issuers may charge a fee for card usage overseas irrespective of the currency in which the card is charged. Elavon s DCC Best Rate Guarantee programme does not cover such fees. The Elavon DCC Best Rate Guarantee programme may be withdrawn at anytime provided that any claims already received by Elavon at the time of withdrawal will be honoured. A cardholder s sole recourse under DCC Best Rate Guarantee programme is submission of a claim as described herein and, accordingly, it is understood that any claim or dispute in connection with exchange rate guaranteed does not provide a customer with the right to initiate a chargeback or refund with respect to an exchange rate assured transaction.
