I am sure you have noticed the bright yellow lines that Mr. Kissling has recently painted on the lower parking lot. This is the KID ZONE AREA. We are asking that you use this area only to walk your child/ren to your car. Please do not drive over the KID ZONE lines when you are leaving. We ask that you back up as you leave the parking lot. Please share these safety rules with anyone that might be picking up child/ren. Thanks so much for your cooperation with our end of the day pick-up. We appreciate all that Alioto s and the Warren family do for St. Joseph Catholic School. We would also like to thank Fran and Don Tollefson for volunteering their time to serve the lunches provided by Alioto s.
2 Stuff The Bus As part of the Soles for Catholic Education Walk we are collecting all types and sizes of gently used shoes for the distribution to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Join us as we challenge you to Stuff the Bus! Drop off your shoes at school and place them in the box located outside the office. We are looking to let others know more about St. Joseph Catholic School by increasing our Facebook presence. How can you help? Please like our St. Joseph School Wauwatosa page. We will be working to share more of the many great things happening here at SJS through our Facebook postings and hope that you, in turn, will share them with your friends! Thanks for your support! 5 Spanish Club An after school activity for 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th grades! Our club meets on the first Thursday of the month from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m., in the Spanish classroom. The first meeting will be on Thursday, October 6, Our goal is for the students to have fun playing games, watching Spanish videos, working in groups, and learning about the Spanish language and culture. Some of the activities include a scavenger hunt with clues in Spanish, field trips to cultural festivals like the Folk Fair, Mexican market, exhibits, and many other activities. Refreshments will be provided. The advisor for the club is Mrs. Rodriguez. Please fill out the permission slip and return it to Mrs. Rodriguez or to your classroom teacher.
