2 The Online Educa0on Ini0a0ve (OEI) is a collabora0ve effort among California Community Colleges (CCCs). The OEI Steering CommiEee recommended the adop0on of Canvas for the OEI course management system (CMS) for the next four years at no cost to the colleges.

By 2016, the common course management system will also be available to all colleges for free.

Canvas Features include: Wikis, discussion boards, and integrated tools like Google Docs, make group learning more produc0ve. Easily include audio or video comments to personal messages, assignments, course discussions, and even graded work.
