4 TECHNOLOGY The Solidor R9 door is maintenance free and is made up of a 100mm dedicated door frame and a 62mm engineered laminate hardwood core door leaf. This has been designed to provide the ultimate performance offering a U Value as low as 0.9 W/m2k.

5 DOORS THE WAY THEY RE MEANT TO BE TM DEDICATED R9 DOOR FRAME We have worked with Residence 9 to develop a door solution for their customers. They have produced a beautiful door frame, 100mm deep, nine chambers for the ultimate in energy efficiency and available from stock in the widest range of colours available in the U.K and Ireland. PLASTER LINES Full entrance door screens are available including fully glazed or matching composite side panels and an authentic cill. A 15mm frame extension is available so that you can also install R9 doors into existing 70mm plaster lines if required. This product is designed to replace the 1930 s entrance screens seen in most suburbs in a very authentic way. TRADITIONAL ENTRANCE SCREENS (with glass or a matching panel) Our door frame can also be fully glazed to enable side panels or top lights. With slim sight lines and our Georgian bar you can re create truly authentic, decorative detailing of the period timber products but with no maintenance. We can glaze your side panels with 28mm or 44mm sealed glass units depending on your requirements. pg. 4

6 SECURITY We understand, that knowing your home and family are protected, is a major factor when choosing your new doors. You can rest assured that with our door construction, coupled with our unique, reinforced door frame and Secured by Design locking systems, your property will be as safe as can be when you choose Solidor R9. As standard we supply our doors with our automatic slam shut lock, this has been tested to PAS 24 and achieves Secured by Design status.

7 DOORS THE WAY THEY RE MEANT TO BE TM SLAM SHUT LOCK WITH A DOOR HANDLE When you close your door the lock automatically engages so you are instantly secure. You can choose between always needing a key to come in from the outside or to have passive entry. SLIM ESCUTCHEON WITH SLAM SHUT LOCK If you would prefer a modern door bar on your door then opt for our slim escutcheon on your automatic slam shut lock. HERITAGE AUTOMATIC SLAM SHUT LOCK The aesthetics of a traditional rim latch, but incorporating the latest high security multipoint lock, which activates and locks the door automatically once the door is shut. Comes with a thumb turn cylinder as standard. Solidor have obtained the highest standards of security and quality. We are also members of the Glass & Glazing Federation. Glass and Glazing Federation All Solidor R9 doors are PAS 24 and Secured By Design accredited as standard. They also have high security, automatic locking systems included on every door pg. 6

8 DOOR S With a thickness of 62 mm, they are nearly 40% thicker than most alternatives. Each unique solid timber core is completely encapsulated within a highly durable edge banding and two thermo acrylic door skins, so you will never have to worry about painting or varnishing your Solidor. These doors are exclusively available in the widest range of styles and frame colour options. (See pages 17 & 18 for colour options)

10 INDIVIDUALISM Far from limit you in terms of colour choice, Residence 9 is available in 42 colour variants, so if Cotswold Green on Grained White best suits your home, you can have it! You can tailor internal colour by room décor. Period styling can be further customised by handle colour. This installation shows a mix of period black hardware and a contrasting door leaf against the frame.

Pilkington Texture Glass Warwick is a random pattern that is added along the central portion of the pane and this has implications when cutting the glass down into finished sizes. It is possible, if a pane is small enough, it could be cut with no evidence of the pattern at all. None of the Pilkington patterns are designed to have an orientation (an up side) but care needs to be taken with adjacent panes that the pattern direction is maintained. There is a linear nature to Pilkington Texture Glass Warwick and so householders should be aware that there could be aesthetic implications when choosing this design. Also, for the glass supplier the result may be that this pattern is less accommodating when cutting and may result in a greater proportion of selvedge from the original glass plate. Go to for full Dual Finishes Chart UNDENIABLY AUTHENTIC 17th Century doors were oak and left unpainted. 19th Century doors however were always painted. Staining was not a traditional finish. Residence 9 is available in a choice of oak finishes and traditional paint colours. Our Grained White is really popular but if it is too crisp, try our Clotted Cream or unique Cotswold Biscuit finish. Our recent additions of Painswick and Corse Lawn are absolutely stunning or why not take a look at our Elegant new additions of Golden Oak and Rosewood.
