12 Students pursuing the BSA are required to complete a Minor OR a Transcript-Recognized Certificate. Minor Complete 15 hours in a single field of study from any college or school (other than the College of Natural Sciences, the Jackson School of Geosciences, and the Cockrell School of Engineering). Field of study is defined as the two or three-digit departmental abbreviation used in the Course Schedule. Transcript-Recognized Certificate Students may complete any transcript-recognized certificate except those that are in the same field of study as his or her major. When completing this requirement in combination with the BSA, the chosen certificate cannot contain more than 3 hours of coursework required in the major, or more than 6 hours of coursework in the major field of study.
