1 ROADMAP to a Bachel s Degree in Nursing in Partnership with College Associate Degree Nursing Program A collabative pathway exists between College Associate Degree Nursing Program and San Diego State University (SDSU) that provide students interested to earn a bachel s of science degree. The program is designed to provide the education necessary f licensure eligibility and practice as a Registered Nurse (RN). In addition, the program provides opptunities f continuing education beyond licensure to cover concepts in professionalism, advanced assessment, evidence based practice and nursing research, leadership, community health, and the ability to expand their nursing practice. Interested students must first meet all requirements f College and complete the Associate Degree RN (ADRN) Program. Upon licensure, students can then progress into the SDSU-Bachel of Science Degree (BS) Program. Early advising is imptant to meeting all admission requirements and progressing through both programs in a timely manner. The following ROADMAP outlines what courses are needed f both programs and it is subject to change. Please continue to visit the websites f updated infmation. College Prerequisites Must be completed pri to applying f the nursing program. Must have a grade of C better on all required prerequisites and Minimum 2. GPA BIOL 20, Human Anatomy: with lab 4 semester units equivalent. # BIOL 2, Human Physiology: with lab 4 semester units equivalent. * BIOL 20, Microbiology: with lab semester units equivalent. * *Must be completed within a seven-year period preceding application. # Must be completed within a ten year period preceding application. Only one (1) repeat of one (1) science prerequisite course is allowed. TEAS Exam: Must pass exam at the predetermined minimum cut sce ( higher). 4 SDSU University Graduation Requirements Writing Proficiency Assessment General Education: Explations RN-BS in Nursing Coursewk International Student Experience Must be taken the 1 st semester admitted at least once. 9 units of credit (, -unit courses) pri to graduation. 27 units of credit. If a student has earned over 70 units in their Associate Degree program they may receive up to1 units of upper division credit based on passing NCLEX. A 2-week minimum passpt experience required by College of Health & Human Services. See website & general catalog f details. A total of 120 units are required f graduation.
