EDUCATION May 2009 May 2007 May 2004 PhD. in Computer Science, University of Maryland Baltimore County Thesis title: Stochastic and Iterative Techniques for Relational Data Clustering My research focused on development of novel data clustering algorithms for data in which relational links between objects are present. The first contribution is a single-relational clustering algorithm that takes into account the assumption that links exist because of both class membership and relationfeature correlation. The second contribution was a fast iterative technique for block-model type clustering in relational data that is much faster than its stochastic counterparts. The final contribution is a technique for relation selection in multi-relational data that identifies the most informative relations out of a set of many potential relation sets. Research investigates both relational clustering techniques and team formation models for networked multi-agent systems.
