5 Aims Aims:. to determine the prevalence of Chronic Low Back Pain (CLBP) and Fibromyalgia (FM) in Portugal. to compare function, health status, health care consumptions and early retirement between chronic low back pain Chronic LBP and FM in Portuguese patients.

7 Main Study - EpiReumaPt Low Back Pain and Fibromyalgia: Methodology EpiReumaPt Population participants (CESOP survey face to face interview). Sociodemographic. Life style. Ansiety and depression. Comorbidities. Health status. Socioeconomic factors. Health consumption. Function Self-reported Chronic Low Back Pain n = 1336 Self-reported & screening Fibromyalgia n = 1445 Clinical observation: Rheumatologist Appointment Diagnosis validation Case definition: CLBP - having LBP in majority of time in at least 7 weeks FM - previous FM diagnosis or fulfillment of 2010 ACR diagnostic criteria (according to EpiReumaPt protocol) Study population Inclusion criteria: Participants with available information on LBP (Y/N) and FM symptoms self-reported questionnaire Exclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with previous Spa and concomitant CLBP and FM (self-reported)

13 Conclusions. Portuguese self-reported prevalence of FM and CLBP is similar to other European countries.. FM patients have more burden with lower function and health status and more health consumption when compared to CLBP patients.. In Portugal, one in 10 patients with fibromyalgia are early retired due to RD.
