NEC will deliver more than 1,000 LCD XS Series display systems, comprising public displays and FIDS controllers to ensure efficiency across all the terminal s flight information requirements, ranging from check-in and departures to security and digital retail signage. With major reductions in depth and weight, the NEC XS Series is one of the easiest displays to handle and install. NEC has calculated Heathrow will save over 360,000 in direct operational costs over a five-year period, compared with display technology that was deployed just a couple of years ago.
