4 4 MIC Series 550 Robust resilience in all environments With an industry-leading IP68 environmental rating and robust, cast aluminum housing the MIC Series 550 withstands vandal and projectile attack, corrosion and immersion under water. It delivers uncompromising performance in the most challenging of security applications such as problem housing estates, critical infrastructure, utility and transport protection. MIC Series 550 features high resolution, wide dynamic range cameras with a choice of 28x or 36x zoom. Day/Night functionality provides enhanced IR sensitivity to produce clear images in low light, while a Sodium Vapor White Balance mode enables the cameras to restore images of objects to their original color when aected by street or tunnel lamps. Intended principally for large, multiple camera installations, the MIC Series 550 s compact, unthreatening appearance makes it ideal for urban environments where discreet, aesthetically pleasing surveillance is a must. Continuous pan-tilt control and precision engineered resolver technology gives camera operators a full 360 view, with pinpoint accuracy and absolute positioning. Capable of rotating at speeds of up to 120 per second, the MIC Series 550 is also suitable for highway and motorway surveillance. 5 The MIC Series 550 IR version features twin integrated, long-life LED infrared lamps that ensure clear illumination of the camera view at 60 meters (197 feet) in total darkness. The lamps are attached directly to the camera head and rotate with it to provide illumination exactly where it is needed.
