It not only has a significant impact on the patients themselves, but also their families and friends. While they learn to cope with a new normal, many patients are understandably overwhelmed. Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center offers the support needed to help patients and their families through their physical and emotional journey. Our patient-care model and resources are designed to heal the body, mind and spirit through exceptional medical care and integrative therapies. Our non-moving patient model brings care and services directly to our patients in their own rooms, helping to conserve energy for healing. Our vision for the Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center includes an expansion of our cancer center facility and the continued development of our Survivorship Program to address the special emotional and spiritual needs of cancer survivors. Patient Rooms Comfortable, calming and peaceful private rooms where patients can create their own healing environment. Central to our patient-centered care model, patient rooms are equipped with award-winning patient chairs invented at Frauenshuh Cancer Center, entertainment options, calming artwork, natural light and a view. Infusion Bay naming opportunities (8 available) $25,000 to $250,000 Patient Infusion Chair Designed by Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center, the Patient Infusion Chair is now sought after by cancer centers across the nation. Space will be designed to provide a warm, relaxing and educational experience for patients and families. 7 Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center Expansion Build-Out Rose, breast cancer survivor Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center s focus on patient well-being allowed me to create my own healing environment. I wanted to make the best of my chemo treatments and have fun. Because of the time, specialized care and space provided by Frauenshuh Cancer Center, my friends, family and I were able to create the setting I needed to heal. There was always laughter never sadness.

8 Environment Enhancement Opportunities Help create a peaceful, calming environment, filled with inspiration and beauty. There are many environment enhancement opportunities outside in Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center s Sandra s Garden of Hope and inside throughout the Center. $100,000 goal Sandra s Garden of Hope Tribute Garden Benches Honor the memory of a loved one or celebrate a special inspiring person with a garden bench. Garden Bricks Give a tribute to a caregiver or loved one who has had an impact on your life with a brick on the garden path. Annual Flowers and Plants Help keep the garden filled with color, beauty and hope with annual flowers and plants. Indoor Patient and Family Environment Weekly Fresh Flowers Bring the color and inspiration of nature inside to brighten the center. Interior Plant Program Help reduce stress and calm patients by filling the center with greenery. Channel Subscriptions Offer patients opportunities to ease their stress with access to special channels, such as CNN and ESPN. 10 Patient Comfort and Care Opportunities Your contribution will help provide an enhanced patient experience throughout Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center. $250,000 goal Patient comfort and care services are available free of charge or at significantly reduced rates for all patients. Not covered by insurance, these services include important enhancements to the patient and family experience, offering comfort, support and healing. Services include: Aromatherapy Boost well-being and relieve stress throughout cancer treatment. Music Therapy Used to enhance cancer treatment, music therapy and guided imagery can help reduce anxiety and pain, while providing a positive experience before, during and after treatment. Pet Therapy A wag of a tail and a furry snuggle provide a positive distraction from treatments and worries. Restorative Yoga Healing and stress-relief can be found in movement and exercise designed for those in treatment. Massage Therapy Direct hand-to-skin contact to help relax muscles. Nutrition Services Provide classes, food and beverages to support healing. Emergency Basic Needs Support Support for patients through vouchers for transportation, groceries and specialized needs. 12 Survivorship Program Every gift will give patients with cancer the knowledge, skills and confidence to live their life beyond cancer. Completing an initial course of cancer treatment for patients is both a relief and a source of anxiety. The number of individuals in the United States who have a personal history of cancer has tripled over the past three decades. This staggering growth has prompted a national movement to improve the way our health care systems provide care to cancer survivors. Cancer survivors need to be knowledgeable about the type of cancer they have, the type of treatment they have received and the potential late side effects of the treatment they received. They also need emotional support to help them understand and cope with the illness they have overcome. The Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center Survivorship Program is an essential extension of our patient-centered care and demand for the program is rapidly growing. With your help, our Survivorship Program will grow to provide all patients and families with the support they need to transition from treatment to life after cancer. $500,000 goal The Survivorship Program will provide support to patient education, wellness and life enhancements by offering programing free of charge or at significantly reduced rates. Program and services will include: Expanded Wellness Program, designed for survivors and supporting health and healing through nutrition and exercise Patient and family mental health support coordinated to meet the unique needs of survivors Development of a Patients Supporting Patients Program Resource Center Library materials focused on survivorship Educational series and materials developed for survivors Nurse practitioner visits coordinated for survivors Emergency basic needs support for patients through vouchers for transportation, groceries and specialized needs.
