1 JOB DSCRIPTION: Displays for Learning Leader Responsible to: Responsible for: Pay Grade: School Business Manager Premises & Resources Display boards and presentation materials throughout the school M3 ( 16,005-16,482 FT) 35 hours per week 42 weeks per annum Date: July 2013 Job Purpose: To ensure that the presentation of all aspects of the school is to a high standard and supportive of learning Supporting and maintaining the brand image, guidelines and values of the school To establish guidelines and strategy to ensure the school presentation is high quality and professional Key responsibilities: Classroom Display Boards: To liaise with departments and class teachers to ensure all classrooms have high quality display materials To produce display materials for classrooms To design displays and construct them for classroom teachers To assist students in producing relevant displays Corridor Display boards: Planning, designing and producing high quality displays in the corridors throughout the site Maintaining the display boards to a high standard throughout the year Liaising with departments to plan and design the use of display boards in subject areas Producing and maintaining displays in reception areas Keeping accurate records of display boards throughout the school and managing their lifecycle Managing the display of posters and notices throughout the school nsuring that internal signage is maintained to a high standard lectronic Displays & Digital Signage: Designing and updating electronic displays and digital signage on a daily basis for reception and canteen areas nsuring the brand guidelines are met in their design and content Researching and downloading content for use on digital signage systems and in presentations Play a key role in the production of digital content for school events

2 Celebrating Achievement: nsuring that best practice of student work is displayed throughout the school both actual student work and photographs of work / achievement Maintaining and producing student achievement boards for each of the 8 houses and the Sixth Form Producing and maintaining display board areas for the governors General: Support the Art and Design Faculties where appropriate Support the drama department where appropriate Be responsible for the ordering of display and presentation materials and equipment Take photographs of school activities and events for use on displays and in school publications, both printed and electronic Provide support for marketing of the school, its events and facilities Liaising with suppliers to produce banners, posters and signage as required Safeguarding: Be keenly aware of the responsibility for safeguarding children and to help in the application of the Safeguarding and Safe Practices policy within the School Comply with the School s Safeguarding Policy in order to ensure the welfare of children and young persons Personal Responsibilities: Playing a full part in the life of the school community, supporting support its distinctive mission and ethos and encouraging to encourage staff and students to follow this example Actively promoting school policies and procedures Responsibility for own continued professional development Compliance with the school s Health & Safety policy undertaking risk assessments as appropriate To be courteous to colleagues, visitors and telephone callers and provide a welcoming environment Undertaking duties before the school day, at break, at the end of the lunch period and after the school day on a rota basis Attending meetings scheduled in the school calendar punctually Adhering to the School s Safeguarding Policy Support the aims and ethos of the school as defined in the staff handbook and school prospectus Set a good example in terms of professional dress and appearance, punctuality and attendance and adhere fully to the school s published code of conduct Uphold the school s behaviour policy, uniform regulations and code of conduct in a consistent, firm and non-confrontational manner Notes: The above responsibilities are subject to the general duties and responsibilities contained in the statement of Conditions of mployment This job description allocates duties and responsibilities but does not direct the particular amount of time to be spent on carrying them out and no part of it may be so construed
