Demolition of buildings at the Horsehead site in Beaver County begins. March 2014 Linde Group of Germany signs agreement with Shell Global to build ethane cracking units. Linde working on front-end engineering & design for Beaver County project May 1, Submitted air quality permit application to PA DEP Southwest Regional office (Major Action Item) Highly complex permit over 500 pages long requires DEP Central & Regional Office coordination and collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. An estimated timetable is 8 months or more. July 17, Shell held an open house at the Beaver County Municipal building September 19, 2014 Shell holds open house sessions in Beaver County on air permit
