2 Did you Know? Did you know that skin aging is a complex biological process that involves both internal and external factors? While genetic aging is an internal process we are unable to control, there are certain elements that can positively impact to reduce the chance of developing wrinkles. Because the face is the most visible part of oneself, wrinkles have become the most obvious sign of aging.

4 #1 Smoking In addition to affecting the health of your lungs, smoking can affect skin damage on your face and other parts of your body. Though early skin damage may be hard to see, the nicotine in cigarettes causes a narrowing of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which impairs blood flow. This lack of blood flow reduces the amount of oxygen and vital nutrients to your skin, such as vitamin A. What s more, there are 4,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke that can damage collagen and elastin, the fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. Skin then begins to sag and wrinkle prematurely.
