3 Abstract ID No EN 88 Zivile Jukneviciene Aleksandras Stulginskis University (15 a, Studentu g Kaunas, Lithuania) Sustainable use of biological resources of agriculture and forestry The Centre of Biosystems Engineering, Biomass Energy and Water Engineering of science, business and studies Valley Nemunas located in Aleksandras Stulginskis University in Lithuania with the main mission to ensure integrity of the research system in the agricultural, forest, water and food sectors as well as to ensure engineering solutions of scientific achievements and their introduction into production creating safe, environmentally friendly and resource sustainable technologies and producing competitive products, and to implement R&D in the fields of biosystems engineering and bioenergy. Main research areas of the laboratorys: new raw materials for biodiesel fuel production; production of biogas and biofertilizer from agricultural and industrial wastes; removal and immobilization of heavy metals in sewage sludge; new environment friendly production technologies; improvement of biofuels quality; production of biofuels quality; evaluation of technical state of Agricultural buildings (cowsheds, poultry houses, etc.), hydraulic structures (hydropower, fish ponds and other hydroschemes); laboratory tests of constructional materials for agricultural buildings, hydraulic structures; studies of innovation in infrastructure of agricultural building and monitoring of geofiltration safety in hydraulic structures; aerial photography, including the use of ultra-light and unmanned aviation vehicles, camera calibration, photogrammetric processing, including production of ortophotomaps and 3D models, image interpretation; hyperspectral imaging: Application fields: environment, bio-medicine, material science, agriculture, food safety, forestry, etc. Coming this year hyperspectral imaging using UAVs; object based image processing (ecognition); processing of satellite images; processing of data from laser scanning (LiDAR in forest inventories, TerraSolid) and etc. Researchers are looking for cooperation in these research fields. biosystems biomass engineering Phone:

Voronich Institute of Natural Science Precarpathian National Vasyl Stefanyk University (7,Malichka str. /f.17, Kaluch Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine) Environment in the disposal of solid waste, recycling waste paper from pulp and polymer coating Physical and chemical properties of cellulose fibers obtained from recycling wallpapers- scrap with PVC cover by removing the polymer coating from the paper were described. Reusing processes of those cellulose fibers was given. Industrial tests of fluff pulp obtained from waste wallpaper were conducted for the manufacture of asbestos cement slate and their impacts on the physical and mechanical characteristics of slate were shown. Profit from recycling and disposal of these wastes is euro / year. Payback period through the implementation of sale garnetted paper base wallpaper and PVC-cover is year. 5 Abstract ID No HEA 10 Prof. Vincentas Veikutis Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Institute of Cardiology (17, Sukileliu str., Kaunas, Lithuania) IR thermography diagnostic application in Diabetes Mellitus induced periphery arteries disease Diabetes mellitus (DM) induced angiopathy plays the major role in leg ulcer formation, which complications can increase morbidity and mortality of patients. It causes sympathetic hypofunction resulting in decreased skin temperature, which could be detected by IR thermography approach. The study included 91 DM patients and control group of 30 DM free volunteers. Associated neuropathy was defined using standard neurologic examination:10g monofilament touch, vibration, pain, temperature perception disorders, when obtained data were compared with thermography results. Conclusions. DM patients with polyneuropathy mostly are accompanied by seriously impaired thermoregulation and as result various stage angiopathy. We consider use of thermography a valuable diagnostic tool for easy detection of potential DM induced periphery arteries disease. Further studies are required to establish the value of thermography in visualization and diagnose of early subclinical complications.
