3 THE CHAMPION The most famous of the courses at PGA National was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus in 1989 and again in 2002 and is now home of The Honda Classic each spring on the PGA TOUR. Originally designed by Tom & George Fazio for major tournament play, The Champion s storied history includes the 1983 Ryder Cup, the 1987 PGA Championship and 19 Senior PGA Championships from A myriad of course management challenges are present throughout the round while spacious Tif-Eagle greens provide multiple pin locations. A must play on any avid golfer s list, The Champion features The Bear Trap, spanning holes 15-17, considered one of the toughest stretches on tour. The Champion, No. 3 and No. 1

4 THE PALMER One of the premier golf experiences at PGA National Resort & Spa, this Arnold Palmer signature design opened in 1984 as The General. In 2006 it received a total renovation by Mr. Palmer reopening as The Palmer course. A risk reward layout with a forgiving flair is complemented by dramatic natural hazards of ground coquina shell, lined with textured Spartina grasses that present an incredible backdrop. The open but undulating fairways and large Champion Bermuda greens present ample opportunity for creative shotmaking while inviting players to take a chance if they dare. The Palmer, 18th Hole

5 THE SQUIRE THE HAIG THE ESTATES Named after the immortal Gene Sarazen, the first golfer to win the professional golf Grand Slam, the thinking man s course is the ultimate test of accuracy and precision. Designed by The Fazios, The Squire s new, smaller Emerald Bermuda greens demand precise approach shots. Multiple doglegs provide risk reward opportunities while natural environmental areas surround the course with native vegetation and wildlife. Designed by Tom & George Fazio and named after one of golf s legendary players, Walter Hagen, The Haig was the first to open for play at PGA National. The Fazios goal was to design an outstanding course playable for all levels of golfers. By eliminating any forced carries over water they were able to create one of the most forgiving experiences at PGA National. Designed by Karl Litten, The Estates has an enjoyable mix of challenging and docile holes. The course sets up for any level of player with formidable fairway bunkers and water hazards that give way to generous landing areas and large, inviting greens all combined in a parkland routing for the feel of a core golf course.
