Moxie Wedding Notebook 8 Organization: Calendar, Checklists & To-Do Lists Compile your guest list. 21 Moxie Wedding Notebook 21 Budget: Manage the Finances Plan your wedding with a whole lotta Moxie! Money is Always a Major Issue. Especially in wedding planning. This is true with actual money spent, and in the stress it can cause in your important relationships. Whether you have aess to a little or a lot of cash, creativity is always in order to help you spend wisely. And of course, careful planning is essential. This section will help you plan for and track your budget as you progress through the planning process. Included are these pages: Traditionally, Who Pays for What Wedding Budget Worksheets Traditions are always changing, but remember they are only as valid as your wishes and the resources available to you. Regardless of the arrangment you choose, you absolutely have to be on the same page with those who are contributing to your wedding finances. There is nothing worse than having money, through misunderstanding or bad planning, become an emotional issue that causes strife at this important time. The Shellé budget tools here will help you to plan how expenditures will be divided - voluntarily and by who is financially able to pay. It is strongly recommended that both families review the plan and discuss who will be responsible for each item. Remember, as always with these checklists, if an item doesn t pertain to your wedding, simply put an X next to and move on. Note: even If someone else volunteers to pick up a cost, you still probably should track the item for your own budgeting purposes. In dealing with money for your wedding, be bold and honest with all those involved. Don t let money get in between people and above all else, communicate!

29 Moxie Wedding Notebook 29 Guest Lists & Lodging Plan your wedding with a whole lotta Moxie! Hey, Let s Invite Everyone! That would be nice, but seriously, take the time to consider carefully who you would like to attend your wedding. Deciding on who is invited can be a bit overwhelming, and remember, the more guests you invite, the more costly your wedding will be. Take into consideration that if sending to a single person, they will more than likely bring a guest/date, thus you must estimate for 2 people. A good place to start is by asking parents for their list of the people they would like to invite. Combine it with your own and if you re over your budget limit, use the List 1/List 2 method. List 1 / List 2 You will make two lists. The first is Must Attend, for all guests that you absolutely couldn t do without. The second is a Would be Nice to Attend. Then each of you take turns picking from List 2 until you are both comfortable or at your budget limit. This section of your Shellé planner contains four copies of Your Guest List worksheets for you to keep track of your guests needs. Since every wedding has a different number of guests, you can photocopy the forms as your guest list requires.

35 Moxie Wedding Notebook 35 Attire: Formal, Casual or Both? Plan your wedding with a whole lotta Moxie! There They are, That Beautiful Group! There is nothing like the sight of your wedding party, all decked out and in place at your ceremony. Whether utra-chic or laid back, your sense of personal style should come through. As always, planning and attention to detail will help it all come together. This section will help you do that, with an assortment of worksheets. But first, some tips: Bridal Gown The centerpiece of course is your bridal gown. It does not have to cost a fortune if you re creative and a good shopper. Attend bridal shows to view dresses on models or look through bridal magazines to figure out what styles and designs you like. Collect samples in an idea book. Visit some bridal shops in your area. Bridesmaids You can have them dressed in all the same design, color, etc. or you can mix and match designs and colors. It s completely up to you. Groom and Groomsmen Make an appointment at a formal wear shop to take a look at the different design, style, and color options. It is recommended that you have the attire rented approximately 6-9 months ahead of time and fitted again approximately 6 weeks prior to the wedding. Request your out-of-town groomsmen be fitted in a formal wear shop in their hometowns. The Bride s Mother and Father The bride s father is generally dressed similar to the groomsmen. The bride s mother can choose her own dress.
