2 Survey and Research Tool Development: Creation and implementation of needs assessment instruments for over 790 agencies regarding domestic violence and substance abuse in the State of Florida. Creation and implementation of Client Satisfaction Surveys for use in Florida Substance Abuse and Mental Health Agencies. Saddled with responsibility of implementing performance measures created by agency and legislature and successfully trained providers on measures, methodology and means to improve performance. Web based survey format for Adult Tobacco Use in Georgia and Nevada. Centers for Disease Control Youth Risk Behavior Survey conducted throughout southwest Georgia. Data Analysis Expert use of SPSS and SAS statistical programs with both large data systems (5 million+ records) and research project created and coded data tables. Programming ability in Visual Basic 6.0 and ACCESS to develop web-based application tools for data analysis (and potentially research tool development). Complex use of statistical analytical techniques and methodologies to evaluate public and non-profit agencies and programs. Report Writing Production of numerous state legislative reports and grant award reports including State Privatization and Contracting Efforts, The Impact of Performance Based Contracting on Service Provision in Florida, and an Analysis of Variables Improving Successful Completion of Substance Abuse Treatment. April 1996 to Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Project Director. October 1996 Created 5-year strategic plan which was ultimately approved by Justice Department and fully funded at $1.8 million annually. Chaired steering committee to address increasing legal representation for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Created linkages between Florida Bar, 38 DV Shelters, Legal Aid, and State and National Coalitions on Domestic Violence. Wrote both Steering Committee Workbook and Plan to Provide Increased Legal Representation to Victims of Domestic Violence April 1989 to May 1995 Florida Department of Corrections and Grove Counseling Center Substance Abuse Programs, Therapist to QA Director. Lead family counseling sessions; individual & group therapy. Created program rules manual for clients and analyzed compliance with state administrative and statutory requirements. Charged with developing therapeutic modules in accordance with federal grant requirements for Medicaid and state s first substance abuse program for pregnant and postpartum women in prison. Conducted psychosocial evaluations of clients and development of appropriate treatment plans including discharge preparation. Developed clinical session materials for group and individual therapy sessions and presented materials. Supervised clinical assistants and maintained appropriate staffing or case management team meetings on clients.
