2 WHY YOUR LIVER & KIDNEYS ARE SO IMPORTANT Everyday our bodies are working overtime to try and eliminate the hundreds to thousands of chemicals that it comes in contact with. In other words, the body's detox organs are overworked by environmental toxics. The liver is the primary organ involved with the filtration, biotransformation, metabolism & pre- and post-systemic elimination of chemical toxicants. The kidneys are designed to filter all of the blood in the body and eliminate chemicals reabsorption of toxicants can decrease urine output. When the liver is overloaded, the body goes into a state of saturation toxicokinetics when the rate of elimination is no longer proportionate to the dose. The body will produce fat cells (adipose tissue) to store excess chemicals that it cannot eliminate in order to delay their immediate delivery to systemic circulation. This state can also increase the likelihood for chemical reabsorption, which will expose the kidneys and gastrointestinal tract to the chemical toxicants for longer periods of time (increased exposure time can lead to increased toxic damage). YOUR CURRENT DIET IS NOT ENOUGH! While it would be ideal if we consumed the essential micronutrients (vitamins, amino acids and phytonutrients) to assist our body at this routine onslaught, most diets are deficient! Another concern is for those burning fat and experiencing symptoms when chemicals previously stored in fat cells are released into their body's circulation (blood) as the liver and kidney's are subject to damage in the organs quest to eliminate these chemicals.
