1 THE STONE CRABS SWIM TEAM 2014 ELEVENTH ANNUAL STONE CRABS WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS OPEN SHORT COURSE SWIM MEET December 6th, 2014 Orlando, FL APPROVED BY: Florida Swimming, Inc. Approval: # A-3155 In granting this approval, it is understood and agreed that USA-S shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this event. CONDITION OF SANCTION: The competition course has been certified in accordance with C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When not accompanied by the coach, the swimmers legal guardian must ensure compliance. Except when venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. Winter Park High School Pool 2100 Summerfield Rd., Winter Park, FL Certified 25 yard outdoor pool, eight lanes, non-turbulent lane lines. North end of the pool, where the 8 & under and 6U swimmers start is 6 ft deep all the way across. South end of the pool, starting on the west side is 12 ft for all 8 lanes. 9:30 AM: All Age Groups WARM-UP: Warm-up times and lane assignments will be posted at the pool and each team will be required to furnish a U.S.A. Swimming- Certified Coach to monitor their warm-ups. All events will be conducted as timed finals. This meet is open to all invited clubs and their participating swimmers, registered with USA Swimming, Inc. and invited Non-members.

2 RULES: The 2014 USA Swimming rules will govern the conduct of this meet. All Officials must wear current year USA Swimming Badges on deck and present current officials certification card at check-in. Coaches must present upon check-in, a current USA SWIMMING card Swimmers are responsible to swim in their assigned heats and lanes. ENTRY FEES: $3.00 for each individual event. $5.00 for each relay event, and $7.00 facility fee per swimmer. ENTRY LIMIT: TIME STANDARD: ENTRY FORMS: LATE ENTRIES: A swimmer may enter up to five (5) individual events for the meet. There are no qualifying standards for this meet. All entry forms must be filled out completely; including full names, age as of first day of meet, USA SWIMMING registration number, and seeding time for each swimmer. Late entries will be accepted on a lane available basis only at double fees. All late entries will be entered with a NT. Also send enclosed entry forms, summary sheet and your check to: Ann Stone, 1085 Crane Crest Way, Orlando, FL EXCESSIVE ENTRIES: SEEDING: Make checks payable to: Ann Stone / Stone Crabs Swim Team In the event of excessive entries, the meet director reserves the right to shorten the meet by eliminating the relays. All individual events will be pre-seeded. All relay teams will be pre-seeded. Based upon the number of entries, meet management reserves the right to extend the number of lanes used from a minimum of 6 lanes, to a maximum of 8 lanes. If 8 lanes are used for races there will be no warm up or warm down area. CHECK-IN: Coaches must check in at the clerk of course table no later than 30 minutes before each session in order to register late entries and deck seeded event swimmers. SCORING: for individual events, double points for relays if 6 lanes are run. All year old swimmers entered in the senior events will be scored separately from swimmers over 14 years of age as of the date of the meet. All 6 & Under swimmers entered in the 8 & Under events will be scored separately from swimmers over 7 years of age as of the date of the meet for individual events if 8 lanes are run, double points for relays. AWARDS: 1 st - 6 th Place High Point Awards for each age group. Medals will be presented for 1 st 6 th place for individual events

3 Awards will be presented for 1 st 3 rd place for all relays. If the number of entries dictate it- we will run 8 lanes and provide Awards 1 st - 8 th Place. Team Trophies (excluding host team SC) will be presented for 1 st - 4 th place. There will be an officials meeting ½ hr. prior to the start of the 9:00 AM session. Directions to Pool- our team web site Under directions All coaches must have current certifications. Coaches will be required to sign a form certifying to the fact that they are USA SWIMMING members. A mandatory coaches meeting will be held 20 minutes prior to Saturday warm-ups. Per Florida Swimming Rule , Meet Management shall designate and inform the public of Camera Zones at each swim meet where both still photography and video photography of a race or a competitor in a race may be taken. Acceptable Camera Zones may include, but are not limited to the side courses of a pool, team gathering areas, concession area, turn-end of competition course when not in use as a start-end, etc. Meet Management shall also designate Non-Camera Zones. Under NO circumstances will Camera Zones include the area immediately behind the starting blocks at either end of the racing course(s) while they are in use for race starting purposes during competition and warm-ups, locker rooms, restrooms, or any other dressing area. Any individual failing to abide by this rule could be subject to the Florida Swimming Code of Conduct violation as defined in Rule Meet Warm-Up Each team will have a designated 30 minute time frame.
