1 JBL Martin Lounge AV System 1. What do you want to do: (and go slowly thru the steps) A. Watch TV, (Direct TV) B. Music from your device via cable (iphone, ipod, any device with mini plug headset jack) C. Use wireless microphones (2 mics at a time) D. Connect wirelessly to system, (Apple TV) E. Connect laptop to system for display (via cable) Tap Touchscreen to reveal source selection. Touchscreen located on cabinet to the left of the fireplace A. Watch TV, (Direct TV) Click Direct TV Box on Touchscreen then click Direct TV Control (lower left) TV Controls function as TV Remote Control select channels from laminated channel guide NOTE: Click on close to go back one screen

2 B. Music from your device via cable You do not have to use the touchscreen to plug in and hear your device. Plug the mini cable (uncoil it if you need the length) located to the right of the touchscreen (A) into your headset jack on your device (B). A B To increase or decrease volume control to the overhead speakers, from the Welcome screen, click once to Present Sources screen then locate the Volume Icon, lower right of screen click on it

3 The Volume Control screen will allow you to adjust your device volume. The right side Display Volume is for the TV Display sound, does not apply for device sound. Figure C (musical note icon) Aux Audio is where to make your volume adjustment. Tap your finger directly on the speaker icon, D to increase or E to decrease the volume. If the volume icon (F) is green, then the speakers have been muted. Simply tap the Icon to activate, (unmute) C D F E

4 C. Use wireless microphones (only 2 mics at a time) You do not need to use the touchscreen to hear the microphones, only to adjust the volume. The microphones are located in the cabinet. Open the right door, then on the inside bottom of the left door use the lever to open that door. The microphones reside inside seated in the battery charging cradle (Fig G). G Note there are two systems, (1 Blue, 2 Red), each with a hand held and lavaliere microphone. You can use only one microphone of each color. You need to return them to their chargers when you are finished so they will be charged for the next event.

5 To adjust the microphone(s) volume, (1 Blue or 2 Red) click on the gear icon (Fig H) in the upper right hand corner of any screen (settings) G From the Settings screen, click on Wireless Microphones Adjust volume according to which microphone (1 Blue or 2 Red), or you can click on default Tap your finger directly on the speaker icon, (top to increase or bottom to decrease) the volume. If unsure, tap the Default Setting setting to normalize. Please return all microphones to their chargers so they will be charged for the next event.

6 D. Connect wirelessly to system (Apple TV) Coming soon!!

7 E. Connect laptop to system for display (via cable) From the home screen, click on Laptop. There are HDMI and VGA connections for the PC laptop, plus adapters for the MAC laptop and other devices to connect via the HDMI cable. MAC HDMI: Find the loose end of the HDMI cable, plug in directly to laptop HDMI port or chose a corresponding MAC device adapter. Plug it in and you should see an image

8 PC VGA: Find the loose end of the VGA cable and plug in directly to laptop VGA port along with the mini plug (Fig F) for audio. Plug it in and you should see an image F PC HDMI: Find the loose end of the HDMI cable, plug in directly to laptop HDMI port and you should see an image For adjusting volume, first check output of laptop, make sure it is not muted, then check audio levels, (see Device volume control instructions)

9 WHEN FINISHED IN ROOM: 1. Place microphones on respective chargers 2. Unplug laptops/devices 3. Coil cables and place on hook to right of cabinet, (between cabinet and fireplace) 4. Click on upper left hand icon 5. Click OK to shut down the system which will return to the Welcome screen.
